Need some pointers here. The last few days I’ve found my Xbox PC has been playing up. On some games (but not all) when I try to launch them it instead sends me to the Windows Store to install gaming services - which is already installed.

But more annoyingly with games I want to install it immediately stops with an error message of 0x00000001. I was trying to reinstall Among Us to play the latest update by this is stonewalling me.

Has anyone encountered any similar issues and found a way to fix it?

are you installing them on the same location as windows?

I have and internal and external drive, it errors regardless of which one I pick. Also wasn’t a problem until this week and I can’t see what has changed.

see if you have updates for the windows store app/xbox pc app in the store

I did check that earlier and their didn’t seem to be anything for the Xbox app, will check the windows store one

Just found the solution to my issue here:

Problem appears to be solved as Among Us has now downloaded. Please can a mod lock this thread.
