My only concern with this game is that it looks quite a scary game, and I strongly dislike anything with any horror in (Uncharted took it too far for me)

I doubt it will be very terrifying. The first one was adreniline pumping, but not scary in any way.

You must be made of steel Starcraft! I nearly fainted the first time the berserker came crashing though the wall!
Oh come on that wasn't that bad.  What scared the hell out of me was Bioshock where stuff creeps up on you, but that never happens in Gears.

When I do get my 360, I am not going anywhere near Bioshock. The bits in  Uncharted that really freaked me out were when (spoiler alert) I was creeping through the german u-boat base on the island, with the zombies creeping up on me from the darkness, and the holes in the walls, and the never under wailing of them

I certainly do not have nerves of steel, though having a guide might help me prepare for some of the shocks

Thats a shame, Bioshock is easily in the top 5 games of this generation so far.

I know, I want to play it, but I know I wont enjoy it, as I will be too worried about having some monster creep up on me

Would it help if you played it in broad daylight in a well lit room?  Because you really are missing something.

Will you be picking up RE5?

Well I might borrow it from a friend just to give it a go, and see how far I get, cause I do appriechiate it is one of those games that should be played by all proper gamers

There will always be people creeping up on you, but once you get used to that, the storyline isn't really that scary.
