Forums - Sony - Sony E3 predictions.

Sony have got have some unannounced 2008 games, they're sitting atop almost 3000 developers who I doubt are just sat twiddling their thumbs

I don't see there being that many unannounced games we don't know about for Sony.  By that I mean, we know that ICO have something going on.  With Microsoft, we KNOW that Rare, Lionhead and Bungie all have an unannounced game each.  But Microsoft has a habit of surprising us with third party exclusives (Gears, Alan Wake, Too Human, Infinite Undiscovery) whereas whenever we seem to find out about Sony exclusives it's from their (still rather formidable) first party arrangement.

i expect all three consoles to announce something big

kh3 for the wii
new ips for 360
gow3, price drop, home for ps3.

it's going to be a fun E3

Doubt it. I'm expecting that at TGS. Plus SE/Disney don't seem ready for it yet :3

I don't think KH3 will go to the Wii , especialy after that CG at the end of KH2 , that would be a real let down.

@Starcraft , I'd argue on but since it's not related to the thread , you can have this one.

I'd like KH3 on the Wii for the motion controls. I could live with it being on PS3 if it was a) a graphical masterpiece and b) if it came out AFTER FFXIII Versus to ensure I have a PS3 at the time.
Ihave a feeling by the time this game is released, ps3 will have their own wiimote.

Lol, yeah.  So will the Xbox 360.

Sony have more development resources than both Microsoft and Nintendo , the likelyhood of them having an un-announced exclusive is equal if not greater than the chances of Microsoft doing so.

Plus with the sales of their hardware being < Sony , I'd have thought they'd announce any big titles they had to gain interest in their system.

i don't get it why everyone thinks that killzone 2 will be a great title and obviously everyone thinks it is the most important title right now for the post E3 time for ps3 console?

 No, simple as that ;)

I agree with the majority that it is indeed a very important game for the PS3, but I'm holding my breath for Resistance 2.

I hope we'll see a "REAL" R2 trailer (not just gameplay showoff, but something Insomniac can "showcase" the PS3 with)

A GoW3 teaser, the next Team ICO game announced, Uncharted 2 announced for 2009, release date on Afrika, more information on these games (hoping for teasers on some): Eight Days, Heavy Rain, WarDevil, FFXIII+Versus, The Getaway.

 EDIT:

Oh, and I think Sony will announce either 2-4 PS3 exclusives, and hopefully there will be an EU date on Siren.

lolzorz. That CGI is for Birth By Sleep, ON THE PSP. How would it be a "let down" then? Your post makes no sense.

@psrock

A PS3 "Wii Remote" would just be an add-on though.

Sorry i'm not a KH addict so I don't know absolutley everything about KH, being on the PS2 it's very logical to have thought that it may be a trailer for a PS3 version . Maybe it's just me.

How do you know what the "PSMote" (as I like to call it) will be ? if Sony's aiming to gain the Wii's market share through this pherical then it would be logical to assume they'd heavily support it.

You misunderstood me.  I am sure Sony has unannounced exclusives, but that doesn't make them unknown exclusives.  For example, Lionhead has an unannounced exclusive that isn't Fable.  But it is not unknown because we know of it's existence.  Like the secret Rare game.

For example, ICO must have one or two games in the works that are unannounced, but they are not unknown because we know they are coming.  As first party is easier to predict than third party, it is less likely that Sony will have UNKNOWN exclusives than Microsoft, because Microsoft has a heavier reliance on third party.

Of course I see bias in what you wrote, but there is no causal link between what you wrote and what I wrote simply because you say there is. The simple fact is that outselling a console that is 6.5 MILLION in front of you by 40k a week makes the week-to-week a slightly better performance contrasted with a BIG gap in sales.

At this rate, the PS3 will overtake the Xbox 360 in three years. That will likely be AFTER the next generation has begun.

Fail.

lol, your so funny. isn't hand picking numbers for your own cause so fun?

The PS3 is outselling the 360 by 37% (and growing). The percent is the important number, not the units. Do you really expect these things to only sell at these numbers for three years solid?

So I will even be conservative, and say this trend stops at 40%. That means if M sells 19.5 million consoles, Sony passes it. To don't think MS will sell 19.5 million consoles before the next generation comes out?

If that's the case, they both have failed.

And it's beyond me how you see the bias in my statement and not yours. They are exactly the same. I guess seeing fanboys is like seeing dead people... they don't even know they are fanboys.
