It is quite possible that my memory of CV isn't perfect since it have been many years since I last played it =]

But the important part is that it seems that everyone on the thread at least liked CV.

Ha! No worries. I'm just lucky enough (with regards to this topic) to have played it relatively recently.

At the bolded: Yes. This is the much more important part. Now, if only it felt like Capcom liked it too :(

Yep. CV is certainly more in need of a remaster/remake than 4.

The irony of RE is that for years people blamed RE4 for starting the road to over the top action but that all began in CV the is a reason people remember it as a title with people being super human and that's because that was when the series left all instances of being grounded with one villain becoming Neo another becoming Carrie while Chris and Claire stepped out from a John Woo academy.

Frankly, I'm hesitant about a Resident Evil 4 remaster. I love the original so much, I'm afraid they're gonna screw it up.

If it was a remake I could see the concern, but the remasters so far have been only improving textures, fps, resolution, poly count and the like without really changing the game at all
