I think you can. But you are too busy voting for rubbish tracks (including this one) to notice

At least we are agreed on one thing.  That is definitely the worst track in the game and possibly the worst track ever in any racing game.

Yes you can make the shortcut without a boost, you can almost just drop down onto it with hardly any speed... the thing that makes it difficult is you have to be almost 90 degrees to the direction of the track, which as you have just come round a 180 degree hairpin means you have to slow down quite a bit to take it easily.

Oh, and Koopa Beach is the most godawful track ever.... in terms of it's design it is sound, and looks pretty interesting, but as soon as you combine the not badly designed track with the racers it just fails.

i thought i was the only one who hated koopa beach, it seems to be universally hated, i just hate those stupid crabs.

The crabs, and the damn bit where you have to jump across sand circles to not slow down.

Of course if you usually race on the magikoopa shaped bike you are fine, because that thing hardly slows down at all so you can take the inside line for an easy win.
