Oh wait, I think you answered my question in the other thread.... So I won't be able to register again a seperate Mii.

Perhaps if I just use a Mii called TWRoO instead it will show me as "unknown" but my Mii name will still show.

Yes, sorry can't you delete one guy from your friendroster so you can and one admin of the american league? ;(

Well I wanted to add some American users codes anyway as my Larry Lion is full of Europeans (lots of Dutch) and Australians, so I think I will just play as the Mii "TWRoO" in the American league.... people will know who I am and I can join the GPs again if the time of day is ok.

It kinda sucks only having 30 spaces, although doing the time trials board doesn't help as it means I have 4-5 people I have never or rarely raced against.

Damn I was disconnected in that team GP... I just stopped and everyone disappeared then it claimed I had won.

I think Rol is losing his touch... after my first 40 races with him the tally was 5:35 (me:Rol) although I believe 1 of them was a disconnection problem which he would have actually won, so it was 4:36 in truth.

since then it has gone up to 38:70 (which shoudl really be 37:71) which means in the past 68 races with him (ie ignoring those Rol dominant first 40) it has been 33:35.... I am pretty chuffed with that.

Yes, seems to me he has to learn not only to drive, but also how to fight ;)

It seems you two are on to something. My driving skills were hitting a plateau a week after I got the game and since then my improvements have been very small. Since then everybody slowly caught up and my early advantage has been neutralized by now. It's time for me to learn how to use items.

Today it has been pretty annoying that I got punished hard everytime I made a mistake. For example I hit a crab on Shy Guy Beach and was rewarded with several red shells to put me from first to worst. The final race of the last GP today was so fitting for my streak of bad luck. I was leading for most of the race by a good margin and near the end of the race everything was coming together to put me back into second place causing me to become second overall.

Well something I noticed is that you just drive your line, even if your are on 3rd or worse place. You need to get "?" at all costs. If you are 5th or worse, the items your are getting are worth the time you put in getting them garantued. It seems to me, what item you get is set by the place your drive over the item box, not the time the you can actually use it. That means if I make a jump to get a "?" and you get passed me, I get the more powerfull item, and most likley throw something add you, or get you with a mushroom or something.

And in the end, only the place after the 3rd round counts, so maybe if you are in the pack, think about to make the jump to get a good item.

Also I noticed that you nearly never lay down your "protection" if you are first. If you have the second banashelf allready availible, lay down the current one on a good place. It will help you. A lot of people drive into the banashelfs.

On the throw somebody off the course part: It seems that there are 2 things important for that: How "heavy" is the bike you are using and how much do you drive in the direction of the driver you want to throw off. It helps if you throw sombody harder by drifting, or have a miniboost. If he is driving straight, he will seriosly loose his "line".

Well try to get some of the time trial people to the other account, would be the best solution I guess.

You wouldn't have got 1st overall Roland, us two were quite a distance from everyone else so had you got 1st place I would have got second.... and still won overall.

I can't remember the exact breakdown of points but as I was 10 points ahead of you after Rainbow Road, and I think 2nd place in those races was getting 10 points (if it was only 9 then you are correct you would have won overall)

Was it a Red Shell that hit you by any chance? because I think I fired it at a pretty perfect time after the blue shell but I wasn't sure about those last item boxes and was hoping you didn't manage to get another item.

I want to keep the time trial people in 1 account, as it is way too awkward swapping between them to update, and Rol is one of the main time trialers and his account is full as well so he can't go adding 2 versions of me. (same to starcraft)

If Rol is willing to add an extra Mii from me then perhaps I could move the main candidates (starcraft and killerbees and Knight Ward) over to that account, but it would only really free up 4 spaces max.

I think it would be easier for me (and everyone) to just use my second Mii as my American GP one.

Thanks for the advice, even though it was written a little weird.

@TWRoO

We would have been both in 1st place if I had won and you came in second. Yes, your red shell decided the race.

Yes, sorry, I was really tired. I tried to fix the biggest mistakes ;)

In the end though, the best 4 or 5 racers are so damn close if it comes to speed that it does depend a little on luck where you end up. I mean look at yesterday results, the first 4 are nearly the same, but is wild mix where somebody ends up. Also it was damn close if you look at the actuall points.

What's wrong with mirror tracks?

I believe they come up more often the more people have unlocked them, so if all of the racers have unlocked everything the chances are probably about 1:4.

Hate them cause I always do badly.  Keep turning left when I should go right and vice versa.  I can't adjust to things being the wrong way round.

I noticed one thing yesterday; you and NJ5 have learned how to hit people. The family of german languages doesn't have words to describe what i thought about you two during the races. I think that Rols problem definately is that he has got used to drive in the first place, now that others are cathing up with him, and he's not familiar with the item spam and getting hit by someone, when driving in the center places, we others do have an advantage over him. Haha. @Rol: I would have beat you anyway in Shy Guy Beach. By the way, it was me, who fired the first red shell, but i didn't know that you hit a crab too (you would have been doomed even without the crab).

Hey, I'm the only one who plays with a kart rather than a bike, so I might as well use the weight factor to my favor every once in a while ;)

I've also been getting better at the driving I think, although I'm still much worse than most or all of you.
