I don't think this will happen, but if it does I guess I won't be playing MGO. :|

My argument isn't necessarily that someone is charged for an online service, but to be charged for something that is hardly distinguishable from other FREE products is rather ridiculous. I have no complaints about paying for expansion packs, that is understandable. The only way I could see MGO or any other game of its kind to charge for the service, it should offer much more bang for the buck compared to similar free services. You cannot compare MGO to FFXI, WoW or anything of the sort, at least not from the information given about the game as well as the different scales of it (MGO 16-player multiplayer maps VS. FFXI with a large world that houses up to 15,000 players at a time).

I think Konami ID is new and they are planning other games in the future that will be subscription based - mmo. So I'm not worried.

That's something I didn't consider. When I first read the fees, I thought it meant MGO, which wouldn't make sense. However, since this applies to ALL of Konami ID supported products, maybe it is just covering all the bases for the future.

You had no interest in this so you clicked and posted anyway?  Bored as I am I guess.

MGO was always a seperate title, people.  Including the starter pack in the game is a bonus.  I wish people would just accept the value of MGS 4 and move on...

I think some people are overreacting, I doubt there would be a monthly fee to play MGO.  It probably just pertains to expansions and other games using the konami ID system.  Not to mention, who is buying MGS4 for MGO?
