Hold on guys, first and for most. No job is being lost, second, I have a life other than video games. Trust me I'm in a little relationship that is complicated but will end up to be a booty call if I keep on doing what I'm doing...lol

I know how to self-control myself on video games. You should know this DMeisterJ since your my cousin.

So don't act like a dumb-ass and defend the other members. You of all people know that I can get really tired of a game real quick.

You guys might be right or wrong in any way. I will be on this site to let you guys know the update on the game. I have already install the original World of Warcraft and now I'm installing the expansion so I can be updated.

This game is more about leveling up your character over and over again and enjoying your experience with other PC gamers. I need a PC game anyway because its not being used other than for website visits or doing college work.

I promise that ecurbj will still be visiting this site from time to time, if you don't see me than either work interfered (sleeping a lot) or college. World of Warcraft is just like any other game I played in the past.

The hell.

ecurbj is lost to us :(

But I used to play an MMORPG (RuneScape) and I got addicted to it for a while...then I stopped playing :P You'll be gone...for a while.

Same here, Runescape just gets boring after a short while....I never played WOW, how good is it?

It's quite an entertaining game. Very user-friendly with a large and active community.

If you're interested in trying out the game you can get trial accounts for WoW which cost nothing and last about 6-10 days (You'll need to have a friend who owns wow to get it though.)

It was indeed. Hopefully you will find time to come visit us every once in a while.

You will be addicted. I know it hard to believe - but you get sucked in. I mainly play consoles again - easy to turn off and have a life in the real world. It's fun but addictive :(

  Unleash The Beast!

End of 2011 Sales: Wii = 90mil, 360 = 61mil, PS3= 60mil

My friend had this game, and he never came outside for the WHOLE summer.

Yep June and July.

I got into WoW for a whole year. December to December. I still have a level 70 and about 5 alts all above 30 or 40. It really is an addiction. I didnt believe it either. But it is. I had to literally ween myself off of the game. At any rate, when all was said and done, in a 12 months period of time, my total time played exceeded:

Time:80 days (75+ days on my main) = 80 days x 24 hours= 1920 total hours spent playing WoW
Money: 49+49+ (12 x 15) = $278 spent on WoW
Thats the original game + expansion pack plus 12 months of play at 15 dollars a month

And before anyone comments, those numbers are correct.  Approximately 22% of the time I was alive during that year, I was playing WoW.

Considering I sleep for about 8 hours a night on average, we can subtract 2920 hours that I slept that year, from the total 8760 hours there are total in a year and wefind that I was awake for about 5840 hours that year.

Since I was awake for 5840 hours that year, and I played WoW for 1920 hours that year, that means approximately 33% of the time I was awake was spent playing WoW.

If we then consider that I HAD to go to school that year (for a total of ~155 days) for 155 x 7 hours of school = 1085 hours of school.  That means I spent 4005 hours either sleeping or at school.  Subtract that from total hours in the year, and you get my total leisure time = 8760 - 4005 = 4755 hours of leisure time.  I spent 1920 hours of that 4755 total hours playing WoW or 40.4% of all my leisure time playing WoW.

40.4% may not sound like a lot, but take into account that leisure time is time I could spend going out with friends, going to dinner with the family, going on vacation, working on homework, playing another video game, etc.  If you take all of that into account, you'll see I actually spent WAY too much time playing WoW.

Yes I did have a girlfriend at the time.  She is actually the person who bought the game for me.  She tried it out as well and got into it.  We only had a big fight about it once or twice.  For the most part, whenever we were not together, we were on WoW together.  It really was a weird year for me.
