"The bad news is that Mass Effect for the PC will not be shipping with the downloadable expansion Bring Down The Sky included. The good news, as was hinted at last Friday, is that PC gamers will be able to download the expansion pack for free upon the PC game's release. It'll be exactly the same content from the Xbox 360 release, optimized for PC and without any cost to you, the consumer. This means that my decision to wait for the PC version of the game has once again been completely justified. Hooray! Mass Effect for the PC is currently due for release on May 28th in the states and June 6th in Europe."

Thoughts-

Great news for those who are getting it on the PC. I've been considering picking up this game when it comes to PC and free content is like icing on the cake. I wonder what else they'll have in store for this game in terms of content. 

Make sure you download the content immediately, as the content can be played mid-game only.

mid-game only? Sheesh, then I feel sorry for those who payed $5 for it then if they didn't know. Still, not like you can't start a new game so it should all be good if the game rocks.

Yeah of course you can go back through the game or go to a save point. But the DLC was really great and it would have been nice to experience it as a side-mission like it was meant to be.

Too bad it's not free on XBL.

In a way, it sort of justifies my stance of not really needing a 360, but rather just hanging out with friends who have one while I can buy a number of games that are also available on the PC should I want them. More content that's free on the PC is even better.

Now, when is Halo 3 going to get ported, lol. 

This is one of the reasons why it's cheaper to play on PC than Xbox360.

$10 cheaper, higher resolution graphics, improved interface, and now free DLC.

Nothing wrong with that.

You forgot that all the framerate drops and texture pop-in have been fixed as well.  Not to mention all of this for very very reasonable system requirements.

Another reason it's great to be a PC gamer.  

I hope this doesn't require any sort of Windows Live functionality.
