Just look at my hardware below..... ;) Anyways this entire thread is just asking for a flame war, maybe it can be avoided but I doubt it. As for the actual question, I think that is dependant on personal preferences and even sometimes by a budgetary standpoint (though I'm sure plenty would say that they wouldn't own a PS3 if it was given to them, yeah right) I know for me that during the course of this generation that all of the games that I MUST HAVE will be coming to me in due time. Saying that, I will probably be picking up a Wii after it gets CHEAP (not just a price cut) because all in all it's alot of fun to play at my brothers but it does not have any games out right now that would pull me away from my PS3 or PSP for that matter. As for MS, *********************************, I'll just leave it at that to be nice. I'm sure it's a good system, but I would NEVER own one, even if it was given to me, LOL, ok that's bullsh!t, they just won't be getting any of my money, mainly for personal reasons I have against MS.

The best hardware has the games you want to play on it. I'm a JRPG-er and WRPGer, so I go with the obvious choice: a 360.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

ummm ......... If you really like RPG's. I think the 360 is definetely not the best chioce. The Wii doesn't really a huge RPG coming (tell if im wrong), but the PS3 does seem to have some pretty cool ones coming.
For Western RPGs maybe a 360 is a good choice with Fable 2, but a 360 is NOT a obvious choice for RPGs. It has 3 RPGs and its been out 18 months.

Like what? Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, and Fable 2 this year?
So far, on 360:
Title | Plat | Company | Reviews | Avg. Vote | Avg Score |
| 1. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion | X360 | 2K Games | 102 | 9.2 | 94.1% |
| 2. The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles | X360 | Bethesda Softworks | 33 | 8.2 | 88.5% |
| 3. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance | X360 | Activision | 75 | 8.0 | 82.9% |
| 4. Enchanted Arms | X360 | Ubisoft | 63 | 7.2 | 71.4% |
| 5. Final Fantasy XI | X360 | Square Enix | 30 | 6.5 | 70.1% |
| 6. Phantasy Star Universe | X360 | Sega | 38 | 7.9 | 65.4% |
And Blue Dragon has great reviews so far, but only 6 reviews and 2 are xbox magazines, so I'll wait on that...
So far on PS3:
Title | Plat | Company | Reviews | Avg. Vote | Avg Score |
| 1. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion | PS3 | Bethesda Softworks | 40 | 7.6 | 93.4% |
| 2. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance | PS3 | Activision | 36 | 7.3 | 79.3% |
| 3. Enchanted Arms | PS3 | Ubisoft | 15 | 6.5 | 62.9% |
| 4. Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom | PS3 | Sony Online Entertainment | 44 | 5.2 | 59.5% |
So far, it's basically Oblivion and MUA for both. Eternal Sonata is rumored to be coming to PS3 as well. Both consoles get Last Remnant (from square), 360 gets Lost Odyssey, and PS3 gets FF13 and FF13: Versus. Those are the big ones off the top of my head.
Upon googling for PS3 RPGs, I found this page: http://www.rpgfan.com/releasedates.html
Nice list:

Edit: somewhere in my copying and pasting I messed up the order and put the PS3 list after my comments, but I'll leave it as is since it's in chart form.

I assume you have a PS2 then?
Let's compare: PS3 - Final Fantasy XIII - Final Fantasy Versus XIII - Folklore 360 - Blue Dragon - Cry On - Eternal Sonata - Fable 2 - Infinite Undiscovery - Lost Odyssey - Mass Effect Winner: 360 (unless the two Final Fantasy titles outsells all of the 360's RPGS combined.)

Oh good point, that site I cited doesn't even have Folklore listed. Even more advantage for PS3. Oh, and like I said before, Eternal Sonata is rumored to be heading to the PS3 as well.
