0.7 now, tied for lowest userscore. Obviously, the game isn't that bad objectively, but I certainly wont argue in it's defense. Infact I'd say the score does make sense when strictly looking at it as a remaster. The slightly improved graphics is the only positive, everything else is worse, giving no reason for this game to even exist aside from blindly throwing Blizzard money. Mainly the score shows how people feel about the game and situation surrounding it and is very telling that the game has serious issues.

EDIT: Also that false campaign trailer is still on the official website site - https://playwarcraft3.com/en-us/

EDIT2: Oh I'm mistaken, it's actually the lowest userscore already - https://www.metacritic.com/browse/games/score/userscore/all/all/all?sort=desc&page=191

Also turns out some of the unit animations were also cut, even from the original game, having less animations for units, compared to a 17yr old game, is pretty damn abysmal to look at in 2020. The game visuals still look almost nothing to what was shown 2 years ago.

I just think Blizzard doesn't care anymore for their roots, let alone the RTS genre (they never made any mention at all about HotS, let alone SC at their previous earnings call).

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Yep they only care about minimizing cost and effort for maximum profits now, so we can only hope people stop buying their shit as money is all they'll listen to.

The 'people' being what they are is a constant factor, is what I'm saying. They're not going to change, which means a digital-only future controlled by these people is a danger. I've said multiple times in various threads over the years that personally I'm not against Netflix-style renting services or whatever, but full priced single licence purchases through publisher controlled clients is effectively enslaving yourself. If that would become the only way how games are distributed in the future, you can kiss any fairness goodbye. There's proof of this time and time again, like now with the old Warcraft 3 being blocked in favour of something else, 'just because'.

Yeah, and this is why said people either ened to be removed, or new laws need to be put in place, to minimise this sort of thing being caused by aid people who remove said games/refunds.

I do hope that becomes a reality.

And yet as shown by some of the comments here you still have thousands of people bending over waiting to get effed. Some people are very shallow thinkers and are unable to look past the pretty surface and see the scum that hides beneath. Same problem with Pokemon S/S although a lot of that has to do with younger gamers lacking the mental capacity.

I never realised that Pokemon S/S was a remastered version. And please, srop with see the good old "if they enjoy it, they must be stupid. And young". This level of arrogance is over 9000.

Pokemon S/S could have been much better games. But saying that Pokemon S/S and Warcraft reforged are on the same level of lazyness is showing a big lack of mental capacity. And even if they were as lazy as Blizzard, they didn't downgrade the old games. Poekmon S/S was probably developped for the 3DS, so I can understand most of the issues.

I would refrain myself from such statements about people that want to play it.

Yes, customer service, advertising and the handle of the old client are abysmal, but none of those actually say anything about the gameplay and/or story. In the end of day WC3 is still a great game, with great character arcs and very fun to play, which is exactly why it just make blizzard decisions even more sinful

I didn't even knew it was possible to go that low. I mean No man's Sky overpromised hell and heaven and got 3.1, Fallout 76 had bugs inside of its bugs and managed to hold 2.6

And I agree with you, while objectively the game is not that bad, this does put Blizzard in the same group of Bethesta and EA, which was unthinkable years ago.

He did not say the situation was exactly the same, just that they are similar with customers settling for inferior products and accepting being lied to.

I don't like the idea of bashing the consumer, sure they're enabling anti-consumer shit, but ultimately it's the company's fault for taking advantage of them. Those who just buy n enjoy the product but still acknowledge it's flaws are totally fine. People are free to buy whatever makes them happy and not buy whatever doesn't. It's only those who defend, and by defend I generally mean attack people for criticizing and holding their money, that are irrational.

I mean I could when it comes to fire arms, tax evasion, or just feeding into bad habits, but in this case I'm not going to just let that slide.

This revamp is just straight up objectively bad, and this isn't the kind of piss poor quality to expect from Blizzard, so why on earth do I have to put up with whiny buyers remorse folk?, because let's be honest, anyone here defending or seeking to defend this piece of garbage is literally speaking from buyers remorse, the fact that they have to defend their purchase, or face total ridicule, it's psychology 101 at it's finest, especially in gaming. No one wants to be told they are feeding into the cesspool of shit, that keeps churning out more shit, no one wants to be told they are feeding a bad thing.

Sooner or later, those same people are going to run into an issue where they find something rotting and getting worse with their favourite genre or product, and by default mentality, they'll naturally want it to not rot, instead for it to get better and improve. However, if they turn out to be one of those *shrug* and move onto the next thing type, then they can be called out for just letting something they love turn to shit. Like if you love something, if you truly do, you would want things to get better, you would want to do something to make that thing better, not easily give up on it like a typical dolt (yes, idiots are quick to give up on just about anything that takes too much thought or effort).

At the end of the day, this game isn't what the fans wanted, let alone those who were content with just playing the OG game from 17 years ago, but now cannot. Those that are easily content with it can do what they will, but they are also within the minority, going by the refund calls, outrage, reviews and general overwhelming negativity that spreads by each day a new fuck-up is found. Blizzard should have known better than to do this, and they are not expected to just churn out garbage and call it a day, let alone illegally ban people for helping others get a refund on a product they bought, that's fucking insane as all hell, and I even went to lengths to ask multiple managers from where I work, and all of them, all 8 of them thought what Blizzard did was fucking insane in terms of legality.

I really hope the Aussie courts smash Blizzard for this, because this is in no way normal or acceptable behaviour from just about any company. You do not deny refunds and then ban customers for seeking info/a refund in general. Boy do I wish for insanely heavy sanctions placed upon companies that even attempt to do this, to severely cripple them for even thinking such an insane idea. No company on earth should ever think "I'm a greedy bitch and I want to deny refunds, but also ban people for asking!" without getting a crippling fine.
