Not sure it will be Persona in 2 days, there's a Square Enix event in 2 days so it could be something Square related...Maybe Balan, Lol.

I think they'd save Persona for something like 'E3'.

If that game to be announced in 2 days is really Persona 5, then it's gonna be a missed opportunity. It's definitely E3-tier announcement.

On a serious note, I've heard a few weeks ago about a certain game that might be launching day one on GamePass, not sure how legit it is but given how things are going I'm confident that it's indeed true. Though, this announcement is also gonna be at E3 most likely. This year seems to gonna be wild in terms of GamePass day one releases.

I swear if it turns out I was right about Atlus being among the main proponents of giving our side a leg up, I will eat my (cowboy) hat. We'll do it on livestream XD

Ok, I'll prepare popcorn for that.

I have only ever played oblivion. Managed to close 2 gates... Or whatever they're called but just couldn't get into it and gave up not long after that.

I'll give the new Elder Scrolls a chance when it releases though but I won't vote in the poll at all though I suppose oblivion is technically my correct answer.

I have also yet to play a fallout game. So fallout 4 on 4k60ish is looking very promising to me.

Gamepass is getting better by the day...

Anyone here played octopath? Thinking about jumping back into gaming soon with one of the titles mentioned.

I haven't played in months at this point. Just in a gaming rutt...

I played Octopath for around 20 hours or so. Completed 2 chapters for all characters. I believe the game is only 4 chapters long for each character, so I can say I'm halfway through it. It's a nice game with and old style JRPG turn-based battle system (which is a rare thing these days unfortunately), but gets a bit repetitive at some point. Though if you have GamePass definitely worth checking out.

Considering that Jez and Ed both teased Persona on Xbox one day apart from each other, I definitely think it's coincidence that the 2 days announcement that the Xbox employee teased is the same day as the Square show. They both must have got wind of something happening with Persona soon. Either that or we are truly fortunate and are getting both a big Square game announcement Thursday and Persona on Gamepass in the next few weeks.

Actually, I don't even need insiders to say about this. Bringing Persona to Xbox seems so logic at this point that I'm not even surprised at all this stuff. It's more a question of when instead of if. On the other hand, seems a bit weird for Atlus not to bring Strikers to Xbox but maybe they will at some point.

Warch ATLUS screw us over and only bring over Persona 5 striker or P5 and not the royal edition lol.

As for Dragon Quest it’s likely Dragon Quest Builders 1&2 or Heroes 1&2.

You are right. I don't really remember any mainline Dragon Quest games being ported to modern platforms, so Builders/Heroes spinoffs seems like a right conclusion.

If persona 5 was already planned to hit xbox it makes logical sense to skip Strikers at first, to have them in order. Even if Strikers is more of a sequel to P5 vanilla than royal.

All this teasing points to a pretty decent announcement, Hope it doesn't disappoint

So it's looking like Square Enix (Ed teased Dragon Quest), Persona or both? Lol.

I'm going to say it's Square Enix.

Well he teased that both are coming, Persona 5 on Xbox is bigger news than Dragon Quest Builders or Heroes imo. Either way good news for us Xbox Gamepass subscribers.

Only just saw that Zenimax Online confirmed on their page that they are working on multiple unannounced projects, so it’s very possible that ZOS San Diego is working on their own game.

It’s also confirmed through job descriptions that they have a mobile game team so it means that they’ve are also working on a mobile game.

If Bethesda is going to continue to make Mobile games then I hope that it’s Mobile AAA, some games that are coming out on Phones are impressive on a technical level.

I wonder what DQ game it could be, most DQ games that could be ported are old, I'd like Heroes 2 as it's very well regarded but kind of doubt it.

Other possibility would be Infinity Strash – Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, which I'm hoping it comes to xbox day 1, be it game pass or not.

As I recall, Ed suggested that Sega was taking a Yakuza approach with Persona, back when he first teased Persona on Xbox in early February. Just like Sega tested the waters with Yakuza 0 before deciding to port the rest of Yakuza to Xbox, they plan to test the waters with a single Persona game, and then if it sells well and gets alot of Gamepass players they will port more. I suspect they want to start with Persona 5 or Persona 5 Royal since Persona 5 is such a big seller, if the most popular game in the franchise won't do well on Xbox no reason to bother porting the smaller ones, but if it does do well they will proceed to release P5 Strikers and P4G on Xbox, and move towards day one releases on Xbox for future Persona games like the 1-3 remakes they've been teasing, as well as Persona 6. I doubt we'll get ports of the rhythm games though, Dancing All Night and such. Atlus will probably also port Catherine Full Body to Xbox, and make Project ReFantasy day one Xbox. Not sure about SMT, could port some and then again they might not.

Not quite, Yakuza 0, Kiwami 1 and 2 were announced on the same day.

It'd be funny if it was Life if Strange 3 launching into Game Pass given it was also one of the things on Phil's shelf, Lol.

I'd be down for that, I liked LiS and even liked BtS (the studio behind LiS3)

People deleting their tweets, welp I guess we'll see soon what is happening lol
