IGN hitting a new low, showing a severe lack of understanding of what ms business model is with xbox.

That supposed xbox guy is clearly a ps fan boy that couldn't get that job, so he went xbox instead but can't control himself and shows his true colors all the time.

I can’t believe that those dudes at IGN actually get paid for their opinions, modern Journalism is a joke.

There was also this take of Ryan's about Jason Ronald's "we still have multiple unannounced exclusives coming in 2021" from 2 days ago, which shows just how little research he does as a games "journalist":

So much wrong with that analysis:

  • Compulsion's game only entered full development in early 2020, they were working on fixing and releasing DLC for We Happy Few before that, any work on the new IP before that point was pre-production, very unlikely they would release their game with less than 2 years of full development in 2021, We Happy Few took 5 years afterall, unless their next game is considerably smaller scale even a 2022 release is unlikely.
  • He seems to only think that Obsidian only has 3 teams (Avowed, Outer Worlds, and Grounded) when they actually have 6 currently, though soon to be 5 when the Outer Worlds DLC team is absorbed back into the main Outer Worlds team that is presumably developing Outer Worlds 2. Even worse, he seems to think that Outer Worlds 2 releasing with 2 years of development is actually a possibility.
  • The fact that he lists Gears 6 as a possibility for 2021, even an unlikely one, is pretty asinine.
  • He completely ignores the elephant in the room that is Forza Horizon 5.
  • He completely ignored the fact that Bethesda was soon going to be Xbox first party, and the Bethesda deal literally closed the day after this bad analysis of his.

Seriously, can I get paid to do this guy's job IGN?

Same guy who praised Sony money-hatting Final Fantasy but said something negative when the news broke that MS was buying Bethesda and yet he is the main Xbox guy at IGN.

I remember when IGN did a video about the State of Xbox 1st party studios before the Bethesda deal and that vid was a joke and they clearly didn’t have a clue about what was going on internally. You get more info browsing forums that an official gaming news network.

Oh man, I had forgotten all about that, when he praised the Sony Final Fantasy hats and criticized MS buying Bethesda. He is such a closet Sony shill, the fact that he is their "Xbox guy" is so annoying.

Almost all major gaming sites favor Sony and are biased against MS, this is a big reason why I want those Bethesda games to be exclusive you very know that all those guys are rooting against it and then everyone is going to crap on MS and say that it’s a major L them and a “good thing for the gaming community” while they praise Sony for having an “amazing exclusive lineup” while they continue to Money-Hat major publishers.

Its a big reason why I stick to this forum, This gen has been Hell for Xbox gamers online NeoGAF was shit and still is and ResetEra is is no different. All I want is for MS to finally get a win and reward us who stayed loyal to them despite their shortcomings this generation.

Well, assuming the stream rumor celebrating the acquisition is real, it's going to be interesting to see what they will say in it, especially since the rumor implies that they are goin to show some footage for an upcomming/new game there.

What rumor implies that? Everyone has said they WON'T be showing off any games.

I distinctively remember Jeff or someone other saying something about new footage being shown on that thurday showcase, but I might be remembering it wrong.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Mainstream gaming media indeed sucks when it comes to Xbox coverage, but I personally don't think that that yesterday's tweet is some sort of hidden anti-Xbox agenda. Ryan is actually right in the sense that TES 6 if it's gonna be console exclusive would provide a huge boost for Series X and it's in MS best interests to release it as soon as possible while it still matters. On the other hand, he is wrong in the sense that probably he has been living under a rock, but after the disastrous Xbox One generation and especially with everything going on with first party games last gen, Microsoft simply can't afford to cancel games or interfere in game development of their studios in any way.

You should check out the Xboxera site that was made by some Xbox fans that left ResetEra because they were tired of how things were there

I dunno how Forza Horizon 4 managed to get that many sales on Steam with that price tag of £55/70 euro. That's more than it cost on the Xbox One as a digital purchase and £15 more than the physical Xbox release 2.5 years ago I was hoping they would launch it at half that price and really bring in the numbers and hype ready for FH5.

Well, for non-Xbox owners (or GamePass for PC), if they did not buy the game, I guess it is a "new" game for them, price is fine.

Also, and this is really a thing, some people are stuck with the "I'm not buying anything from the Windows Store", Steam is the only way they go. So even if it is less expensive there, they will buy it on Steam at full price...

I think Crackdown 4 should be given a chance? or a reboot, I've seen many places making fun of Crackdown as a series since 2 and 3,

Crackdown 3 was fun, but the game lacks personality. I think this series can be really good with a proper budget and more personality (Art style, characters, etc)
