Yeah, I was gonna say, this kills that rumour which said Playground were initially working on a new IP but it was changed to Fable after Microsoft refused the pitch for the new IP, that rumour stated that Fable started around 2018 but 4 years would put it at 2017.

Be around 5-6 years if it's 2023.

It definitely shakes up some expectations I had. I can't see MS releasing 2 RPG's, Avowed and Fable, in the same 1st half of 2023 window, but then it would also be really odd for Fable to release 2nd half 2023, as that would give it roughly 6 years of development, a very long dev cycle for a game. But I also can't imagine they would release both Avowed and Starfield Q4 2022. Maybe we'll see something like Starfield November 2022, Avowed in March 2023, and Fable in June 2023. Imagine if that happens, 3 big Xbox RPG's releasing in 8 months.

6 years isn't too crazy especially considering it's the new studios first game. I mean Halo Infinite has taken that long with 750 employees at 343 and 5 studios supporting them make it, which might speak more to the mismanagement of 343 than anything else but still.

Starfield was trademarked in 2013 and has been in development at least since Fallout 4 came out in 2015 so that game will be a 7+ year development cycle.

True, but Halo and Starfield are both practically AAAA games. As far as we know, Fable is still very much so AAA. The inXile leaker claims that inXile's AAA steampunk RPG is actually the highest budget game out of Avowed, Outer Worlds 2, and Fable.

I don't know I think calling Halo AAAA is a bit much, I don't think it has anything to warrant the insanely large number of people working on it and the time it's taken. It's nothing mind-blowingly ambitious. I think they've just had development hell with far too many cooks, probably spent far more making it than planned.

So I don't think 6 years for a AAA RPG from a brand new studio is too crazy. Especially as from a development standpoint it's basically going to be like starting a new IP with how long it's been since the last one. So they'll have a whole lot of extra work compared to someone making a sequel to an established franchise. I imagine they are planning out ideas for sequels at the same time.

Needless to say, when these games start to drop..........the gaming world will be put on notice. Hopefully lol

I keep seeing this stupid trope of "it's just a racing game, or just go drive a car IRL." I don't get where this comes from. It's such a disservice to the actual game and the sheer amount of time, effort, and details put into it from the devs. Just don't know where this dumb shit comes from lmao.

Well Forza Horizon 5 leaderboards are already full of hackers, the servers are a bit unstable at the moment, the new audio system has some jank with engine sounds jumping to double volume when you go under a tiny footbridge and I've noticed some UI visual bugs and annoyances when searching for liveries.

I'm basically only listing negatives because it's just more Forza Horizon other than that and if you love horizon you'll love this.

A major improvement is that you actually need to win events now to get full completion, whereas in previous games just finishing most events would mark it complete on the map.

Only played 2 hours but it's probably going to be my favourite FH game.

Just with knowing how big Horizon 4 was, I got no doubt Horizon 5 would be a hit.

For those who have the VIP pass, I think that goes into effect on release day. Just want to throw that out there. F some of these damn boards on buildings

Damn lol f them cheaters. Just focusing on solo for now. And yeah I've had some audio issues as well where I don't hear anything. Should be patched soon though. I also like how the cars are listed in the collection. It makes me want to collect em all compared to previous iterations.

Dumb as fuck, we're gamers, we don't drive, we don't even leave our basements, stupid fanboys.

Spoiler!
Jk Jk

It is mostly fanboys though who don't know what they're talking about, for some it also needs a depressing story about your character having a dead brother who was the #1 racer but died in a race against the now current #1, your character believes he killed your brother on purpose in the race and so he's out for revenge! He'll reach #1 in his brothers name!

Your marriage is also breaking down cause you're massively in debt and debt collectors are after those kidneys, the current #1 is also your former best friend, super sad. You're also a former convict for armed robbery, them debts became too much and you got desperate, now this is also a redemption story.

Perfect.

Right? lol. I'm going to also drive my multi million lambo to Mexico to visit @Mike321 as well. SMH.
