Forums - PC Discussion - Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PC November 5th

This kinds of delayed releases annoy me immensely. Other than money, there was no reason to separate the launches so much.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Discovered that R* now require you to install and run the R* client for running/launching GTA V. Never uninstalled a game so fucking fast before.

Done with Ubisoft and their Uplay bullshit, now done with R* and theirs.

I shouldn't need to use two separate fucking clients, in order to launch one fucking game.

Anyone who defends that level of mediocrity, please, find the local trash dump and wait for a trip to the incinerator.

For years I've been happy to use up to 1-2, sometimes 3 clients, but now it's just getting so tedious and annoying, to have my libraries fractured, clients not working properly, or clients that don't wish to compete in terms of game offerings, competitive pricing and feature support. Steam and GoG are quite literally the only two that do what was listed prior.

Imagine how easier it would have been to gain my attention and money, if you hadn't fucked things up so quickly R*.

£30 game, all the bonus content without need for pre-order, no shitty client needed, no further delays, and an honest to god amazing port job. That's all that would have been needed to gain my respect and trust, but instead it's none of that, and now you've lost me forever, because you want your little fucking cut, as if shark cards weren't enough for you already. Always gotta be more, more, more.

I'm gonna be honest, I feel like how TB felt some years ago, when the AAA industry was pulling different shit back then. I'm getting all kinds of fed up with that segment of the market. Fed up with multiple hoops to jump through, people defending stupid shit like "iTs JuSt AnOtHeR lAuNcHeR", completely hand-waving any and all logic/reasoning, in direct favor of the company that factually doesn't give two shits about me, nor the person parroting the same bullshit in their defence over and over again.

Like, I just want to buy and play a AAA game, without having MT's shoved in, without shitty console/PC parity, without getting delays up the arse, without exclusivity deals and without needing another fucking storefront client to play a game I bought on a different fucking client.

I wouldn't be as heated as I am now, since I'd just turn to indie gaming, but even that sector has gone to utter shit this year.

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Why are people bitching about this game $60. But no one here makes a big deal about Nintendo selling old games that cost 1% of this game’s budget for $60?

oh my bad totally forgot we’re talking about PC, those guys don’t like paying for anything.

You want a unified experience get a console. PC gaming market will keep getting segmented. Soon every publisher will have their own launcher and will likely be taking their games off steam.

For starts, no, and for another I already own a Switch and consoles are far from a unified experience either.

Most of the publishers already have their own clients by now. The rest do not have the clout or are already content with what they have.

Lol. Timed exclusive for non-Steam platforms. Interesting. At least it's coming to multiple launchers for people who are too scared to deviate from their main launcher.

Yeah, screw people who have opinions or preferences.

From the guy who shits on other people's preferences in every single post he makes.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Best game I've ever played. Highly recommend to play it.

Look in the mirror mate, before you preach.

You've been doing that non stop since EGS launched, and you're not even hiding it, so why the fuck should you get to shit all over everyone?.

Two wrongs don't mate a right.
