Forums - Microsoft - Is a modded 360 really worth it?

Mod chips can be deactived with the press of one button, playing live is no problem even with burned games. Another advantage to chipping it is that you can place a better cooler. The number of people banned from live are only a fraction of those that don't get caught.

Edit: as for your other question, don't have a 360 anymore (rrod X 2 and sold it) and hadn't modded it.The consoles banned with halo were also easily unbanned http://www.theinquirer.net/en/inquirer/news/2007/06/01/live-ban-for-modded-xbox-360-cracked

I thought you meant case modding.LOL. No with online now, chip modding is out.

in my country .. the orginal game = 10% of the average salary
no one will spend 10% of his salary to buy one game !

they have to buy copy one .. (cost less than 3 $ !)

* orginal game = 70 - 80 $

tell him to do the mod, and then lol in his face when Microsoft PWNs him :)

 Did you even read the other posts? MS doesn't pwn him. Hacks to bypass anything (including bans) are usually online within hours and modding a console is absolutely worth it. Did you even bother to check if your assumption is even true?
