Was hoping they'd do more with the camera, still has the rolling hills look, but otherwise Animal Crossing looks good, though not blowing me away. Delay sucks but understandable. Banjo is hype tho!

The key takeaway is that it's using the BotW engine so it's going to have a short development cycle compared to the average mainline Zelda game.  I wouldn't be surprised if it's Nintendo's big 2020 holiday title.

Agreed. NMH3, and BotW2 got announced. They showed plenty of games, and have a lineup to rival 2017 for this year. 

With all the significant games releasing in September, I'm worried that it's going to be DOA.

Always thought that'd be the case too though. But I think it's very unlikely it makes 2020.

Ok... so best direct ever!?!??! Switch is the rpg king! Banjo in smash! Zelda revealed (4 years too early?) Dark crystal game! No more heroes 3! A ton of critically acclaimed (and tbh very welcome) ports/remasters/remakes! Animal crossing looks interesting again and is being polished. Fire emblem looks amazing. Astral chain keeps exceding my expectations. And Luigis mansion 3 looks sooo good!!! After all these years making me lower my expectations each e3, nintendo fucking nailed it. No mp4 or bayo news but I dont minnd a bit at the moment!

You know what the great thing about this direct was? They had a great showing and they didn't have to bring out Bayonetta 3, Retro's game, SMTV, Monolith Soft's game and other things that a lot of us were expecting.
