Forums - Sony - Atlus re-printing Shing Megami Tensei: Nocturne for ps2...

Come on Mr. Zen. I agree that the game challenge is unfair (hard mode is a joke if you start from scratch), but that is part of the SMT series charm. The average RPG, Final Fantasy in particular, is so easy that a retarded chimp could finish it. Aside from Fire Emblem, there are not many RPGs that make you scream: What the Fuck!

Ugh, I just couldn't get into it. The repetitiveness of it all. I never really understood the gameplay.

I guess BECAUSE I never really understood the gameplay I could just not know how awesome it was. That's how most people feel about FFXII and VIII. They played it about as much as I played Nocturne(20ish hours) and hated it, without ever understanding the complexity and fun to be had there.

...but still, from this side of the glass, I can see why it's hard to convince people a game they hated, didn't suck, lol.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it sucks. I just think I'm spoiled by modern convention. I like a little helping hand in my RPG sometimes. I like a little character development, lol. A little time chillin with folks I care about in a town, and not getting into random battles every f'n 3 f'n steps, and can't even get to the next door form the save point cause a random battle is bound to just annhiliate me.

It's exactly like the reviews say Baroque is, lol, except slightly more repetitive. I just don't know how I coulda been so wrong about that one, when most of the other SMT games are freakin' sweet.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
