Who could possibly pass on Ocarina of Time?
N64. My relatives brught both over with a lot of games; the only one I really liked was Mario Kart 64 and I preferred the N64 controller.

I got a N64 in 1996 and a Playstation in 1998 ... 4 player local multiplayer, better graphics and sound, and no load times made the N64 my favourite of the two
I whored around a bit. Why one if you can play with two?

I started off with the PS1 first, that console grabbed my attention something terrible I would try to make the console out of paper and draw pictures, I wanted the console just because of the WWE titles that were being released and the Crash series.
Then a couple of years later my sister wanted a N64 for her birthday and she got that and Pokemon Snap and Pokemon Stadium.
Those were the days in that generation :D
Edit: I never owned a original Xbox before, I played it though (Halo, Halo 2). But never owned one.
I started out with a 64 and then a few years later, a month before the gamecube came out, I got a playstation, talk about a waste of money for my gamecube. lol. I personally, hated the ps1, but the ps2 is my 2nd favorate console of all time, after the super nintendo.

Let me see, I bought a TV in November 1997 and bought the N64 with it, in February 1998 I bought the PS1. So I got both.

I bought the Sega Saturn First in that Generation. When the N64 came out I tried to convince my Brother who wanted a N64 to go with the PS1. He went with the N64 and I ended up buying the PS1 on my own a couple months later
