I think they may be called wiggers elsewhere.

 Actually here in the U.S most kids are the way SamuelRSmith said so I don't think there is a name for it here. I'm going to say about 40% of the teen population here are like that. I will say that only 15% of the people like that actually commit crimes. I might have heard that wiggers word before, but it's not a common thing.

@TheSource what part of the UK are you heading to?

I, for one, love living in the UK. I love our history - and everywhere is full of it! You go to Lodon and you'll see great big glass and chrome buildings next to to the Tower of London and things like that.

I love our culture. British sports, foods, movies, arts, music is some of the best in the world. And I love our unbiased non-focused-on-celebrity media.

I love the fact that a country so small is so powerful. I mean, there are states bigger than England in the US, and yet we founded some of the most powerful countries, we created one of the most used languages, we owned half the world at one point. We also have a great military now, though I don't believe that they are getting everything that they deserve.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the education system, myself. And I do have a lot of knowledge from all areas of the system.

The NHS is the largest, and broadest health care systems in the world. No other health care system is as extensive as the NHS. And although it did get shaken up a year ago with MRSA, etc. You don't here cases like that anymore, which would mean that the problems don't really exist anymore.

British comedy rules over American comedy. Only Fools and Horses, Fawlty Towers, Bottom, The Young Ones, That Mitchell and Webb Look, The Peep Show, Open All Hours, Some Mothers do Have 'Em, One Foot in the Grave, Monty Python, The Good Life, My Family.

Where the government need to invest in now is giving teens something to do. Opening up more youth clubs, and teen-aimed nightclubs would give a lot of kids something to do instead of standing on street corners, beating kids up. They also need to invest in buildingup communities again. More community centers, fayres, fates, sports and social clubs, etc.

The government should also encourage more corporations to keep as much British as possibly, instead of outsourcing to other countries. This'll help stimulate the economy, and make Britain less dependable on other country's economies.

You have got to be kidding me.

British press and media is one of the worst in the world. They love to pick on people, just ask David Beckham after the 98 world cup.

People will love you here for having a British accent. Taking a trip here probably would be a good way to pickup members of the opposite sex regardless of who you are and how you look.

But is that really true? I'm ENglish and I though that was just a stupid thing they put in films.

it is true. I know a girl from london who actually hides her accent and has taken on an american accent (which I'm sure is hard to do) because she was getting too many "ooo thats so sexy" comments.

And I see my friends going crazy over any guy with the accent, even if hes old and ugly. Its bizarre.

Where do you live again?

@CaptainPref
Apart from tea, everything you mentioned about the UK is a reason to leave.

OT: The UK is proper bollocks at the moment. House prices, taxes and the cost of living is high while wages are low. Where I live, the price of a half decent house is about £200k($400k), while the average wage is just £15k.

@ferret
It'll be sad to see more youth leaving the county, this whole place is going to end up full of fucking shrivs and holiday makers.

 haha, Maine USA

^^I'm on my way!

I read in the paper that a lot of Brits are emigrating to either New Zealand, Australia, USA or Canada, and I have to admit after visiting Orlando in Florida in February I would be quite interested in living in the US. Things like Binge Drinking, Inflated Pricing, a failing standard of education, laziness, lost identity, poor performances in sports, etc are reasons to not to want to live here. I rest my case.

You've got to be something awesome to get into the US. Employers have to sponsor your visa which costs them around $20,000!! The other countries you mentioned are pretty easy though. http://www.byebyeblighty.com/ gives an idea of the requirements.

No binge drinking in the US? Count me out then.

I think its cool. Never been to Europe. But I can surely say UK is cooler than France!!!

I like England, pretty girls with English accents are a total turn on.
