Seems the Switch is mainly losing because of the 3DS in Japan.



It is about tied with 3DS alone, luckily the Wii U doesn't sell much more than has already been shown so if Switch has legs it will be able to overcome both consoles combined.



Seems like it still have some ground to cover, but at the end I think it'll be pretty close (WiiU is only about 7.5M to finish it run)

The most interesting thing to me is the regional differences. In Americas+Other Switch is only down ~9% while in Japan it is down ~44%.

With some big handheld centric franchise like Animal Crossing, Yokai Watch & Pokemon (Let's Go did not resonate as well in Japan) and perhaps a slimmer/cheaper revision in 2019, I think it can begin to gain some ground back there.

Agree with you. But to pass 3DS and WiiU (that didn't do so horrible there) is a very tall task.

Absolutely. I highly doubt Switch will beat 3DS+Wii U in Japan, even beating 3DS alone there will be tough.
