Truth be told is that they bring it on themselves.

If I were in a position to see and share numbers, I will just pop up in the thread on the da and cryptically or not drop the numbers N one can argue or dispute facts. After that I am done with the numbers. The End.

The issue with most of the people that share numbers is that they also share their opinions. And the second you start doing that then you are opening yourself up to be challenged. 

Lets take the Benji guy for instance..... I don't know about him nor am I aware of his track record.... but from what I see he gives information on where the market is leaning.. to the best of his knowledge. Problem with that is that its nt an exact science and if he must do that then he should do well to make a disclaimer and point out what he's certain of and what he isn't. Problem solved.

Underestimating XB1 as usual. Either way, a very good November for the big 3, even without some big games like CoD, or major deals.

This mean overall my prediction for the PS4 was spot on :D Meanwhile I underestimate a bit of the Switch and LARGELY underestimated these cheap bundles Microsoft had.

Also, there's a lack of a certain somebody on this thread .... seems like cliff goes upward now.

BTW, looking through the previous threads (Black Friday prediction, NPD prediction thread), I can't believe how some people are not true about their feelings.

Please tell me people aren't hating on Benji because he said the Switch could win and it didn't.  Please for the love of god. 

Switch nearly tied the Xbox One but none of that mattered from the jump.

The winner of November was going to be decided by ONE thing and ONE thing alone, PS4 stock.  The whole month was going to be a race for second place and look how close second was.

That was already established and EVERYONE knew it.  Sony could have sold 3 million if they had 3 million and it still would have sold out and Benji still would only see Switch selling (although he should have seen Xbox selling too granted).

Something along the lines of the Switch is performing well, then it was outsold 2:1 by the ps4. People took his statement as the Switch would win November, but I don't think he ever said that

Exactly.

Most of us here had the NS at around 1.3M around 3 weeks ago. Our PS4 estimates went down from around 1.8M to 1.5M when we saw that the SM bundle was just as stock limited as their offering was last year. The one thing no one seemed to get right was the XB1.

A lot of us also said it, the PS4 is only going to be limited by stock at $199. If they ship out 2M then they will sell 2M.

And with only abut 150k between first and third anyone really could have won this month.

Can we please stop using this faulty logic of " Sony can sell 3 Million if they have enough 199$ spiderman stock " because Nintendo also can sell 10Million of MK8D bundled with enough stock and 50 Million with 199$ price point with a free MK8D.

The reason why Sony can't ship more 199$ spiderman bundled because they already had a set of shipment target for specific promotion bundled during that month.
Now imagine how many Switch will be sold if they decided to release Switch+Smash Ultimate at 199$ during BF and CM.

Both Nintendo and Sony aren't stupid to reduce their revenues because of stupid shipment number wars.
