one of my friends told me u could leave a PS3 on for 3 days and it would be fine and that if your ps3 brakes you can rent one untill you get yours back is this true

I have left my PS3 on for weeks at a time. Have never had a problem. I do not know about the renting thing though, that may or may not be true.
