I didn’t like either of them, but ni no Kuni 2 may actually be worse than the first, which was/is truly awful. So I guess DQ XI by default... although it isn’t very good either...

I never got around to playing Ni No Kuni 2. But I am playing Dragon Quest Xi currently and it's a great game aside from the midi music, but that's not a problem with the Orchestrated mod which i'm using. I imagine Ni No Kuni 2 has better music by default. I think I prefer the combat in dragon quest XI though.

official: Dragon Quest Xi wins the survey.

I especially like the worlds in Ni No Kuni 2 and it has an addictive factor :) Dragon Quest 11 has amazing cities and villages that are truly wonderful. A nice life for the residents there :)

I would like a dark Ni No Kuni 3-game with adult characters. And the combat system / gameplay of Persona 5 / DQ11. Thats my wish for the future.
