Forums - Sony - I've caved in and picked up a Dualshock 3 - thoughts

@ Dallinor,

Exactly, I feel that the MGS series uses rumble in a couple of other interesting ways as opposed to other games where it's primarily *shoot weapon/get hit = cause hands to go numb*. Not to say that it isn't in the MGS series, but at least there are some other uses for it.

---

With Assassin's Creed, there was only rumble when I'd become damaged and that was it (though this was only with like 10 minutes of running around so there could be more areas with rumble). It didn't make me feel like I was missing out on anything by not having it. Warhawk was more like a traditional game where shooting, getting hit, and boosting in the plane would rumble and again, I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything.

@IllegalPaladin:
Does it drop the signal anymore?

@epsilon72,

I wont be able to tell until I spend a lot of time with it. I only spent about 10 minutes or so in Warhawk, but that is a game where it does drop so I'll try to put some time into it tonight.

Nice thoughts bro, good to see you are enjoying the DS3. I'm thinking about picking the the DS3 controller up the week before MGS4 releases.

P.S. Still awaiting Home because I need those Trophies aka achievements. Then I will truly take advantage of the PS3 :D

Yeah, the Dualshock 3 feels sturdy and doesn't feel like its going to break, unlike the Sixaxis. I don't know if it's just me, but the triggers aren't as sensitive as the ones on the Sixaxis, which is a good thing for me.

Does it have "next-gen rumble" like many fanboys used to claim it would?

*hi-yahh!*

I love my dualshock 3. It has precision rumble, like when im playing motorstorm and a n00b hits me from the right side, the right side rumbles. I love that.

But the question is when will Activision get the message and release a patch for rumble for cod4?

Is it the plastic that was used in the sixaxis or is it the plastic from the DS2, the sixaxis is alot thinner then the DS2.

It's not the plastic from the Sixaxis; it's from the same one as DS2.

Now, THAT sounds awesome! My first game will be MGS4, when it drops. I fully expect to be blown away!
