You can tell hardcore Pokemon fans are disappointed in Let's Go. I don't think it'll flop per se, but will sell more on the lines of a 3rd version. Seems like many hardcore fans are holding out for the 2019 title.

Its good that not only hardcore fans and gamers are not buying Switch.

Seriously one of bizarre decision to not double down on nostalgia factor for Kanto remake with a new graphical overhaul and story presentation.

They can make a new Kanto remake + improved graphics + Story presentation + Other extra details and quest + New Pokemons and it will definitely sell around 15-16M without a single doubt.

Instead, they're making a new Kanto remake + phone graphics + overprice peripheral + New Catching mechanics + No wild battle + gym type restriction and it pissed off the majority of core fans by hoping a smooth adoption of casual GO players, a big fucking mistake by them.

It's weird when Masuda is in full defensive mode right now with his statements regarding Pokemon Let's go and next mainline pokemon such as " New mainline will have a better graphics ". "Core fans please look forward to the next year ", " we know what we're doing with Let's Go, please have a faith in us " and etc.

Smash Bros Ultimate will obliterate Pokemon Let's Go easily

Not relly, Pokeman Lets Go is fast project aiming more at casuals on first place, its that simple. What you talking about couldnt be done and ready for launch this year, and we know that core Pokemon is coming next year.

Perhaps they wanted a Pokemon game to come out this year (or else they will have nothing) soooo they made something easy to make.

And probably how from 3DS to Switch is HUGE leap in terms of graphical power and removing the dual screen which they used since the DS.

Replacing Wild Battle with Go catching mechanics is the main reason why Poke Let's Go is a huge deal breaker to the core fans, do you think by trading core fans with a lower number of casual players worth for Nintendo and Pokemon Company. The stupid decision is nothing more than to sell the overprice Pokeball peripheral. Even Masuda himself admitted it was a controversial decision by him and his staffs were baffled by that decision.

There a lot of reassurances lately by Gamefreak regarding Let's Go.

Then explain why Go catching mechanics replaced Wild Pokemon battle despite claiming Let's Go is part of mainline title according to their press presentation. They can easily make a game that caters toward both core and casual go crowd with an option to chose between normal and new gameplay element at the start of the game.

Masuda is really a dinosaur when it comes to gameplay decision.

They need to stop with the idea of bringing Wii and Mobile crowd asap, Switch is currently benefited greatly from core Nintendo fans as opposed to the Wii.

1 2 switch + Labo + Pokemon Let's Gp = reminiscent of Wii era nightmares

Again, this game aiming more at casuals on first place. They dont trading nothing, you sound like they abonding core fans, while fact is that core game is coming next year, so they will have in time of one year more casual and more core Pokemon games, two games that aims two somehow different audiences, that sounds to me like win-win and clever not like stupid decision. Also not only you sound like they abandoned core Pokemon fans, but like Pokemon Let's Go already failed terrible in way.

Another great month by all 3. A bit surprised that Switch got the win. Seems like I underestimated the impact of Octopath in the US.

Xbox, despite lagging behind, have been up yoy now 7 months in a row. I think that can be stretched to 10 months before they fall down yoy in November due to not having a new console launch, unlike last year.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
