Forums - Sony - GT5 , pc version?

Aren't the only games sony have put on PC been Sony Online games?
This will not happen, why would sony comprimise the system selling potential of their biggest system seller

PS3 version release 2009
PC version release 2010.


well, with the cost of porting, and the fact that not many people would have the power to run this game on their pc, i'd say that they'd lose quite a bit of money on this if they did port it.

well, with the cost of porting, and the fact that not many people would have the power to run this game on their pc, i'd say that they'd lose quite a bit of money on this if they did port it.


By the time it comes out Core3quad and octos will be out (Nehalem) GPU's would have gone to 45 nm, so we're looking at about 1tflop of shader power for mid range cards. The PC would certainly prosper and thrive on such a workload. Hell, I wouldn't put it past a decent Core 2 duo or quad and an 8800gt to play the game smoothly at 1920/1080 or so.

It wont get released on pc but please don't question if it'd be successful or not. GT's main audience now is Europe. Guess what? The pc is still big in europe. It'd sell well. But as I said it wont happen.
