It was a series of minigames designed to make you fit that was released by Sony 3 years ago (long before development began on Wii Fit). Of course, given that Nintendo has spent millions advertising their product, that must mean they thought of the idea first. Maybe they should sue manufacturers of bathroom scales for ripping off the balance board?

@Auron: And you know why? Sony didn't promise there would be an announcement on monday(today), they said they have "something special" in store for us gamers. That "special something" probably was the "Gran Turismo Prologue Live Chat" like kasillas88 mentioned.

So don't blame Sony, blame the people who make up stories, or blame yourself for believeing everything a random person says on the internet.
