 No, it's here in 2008.  It's just that in 09, the PS3 over 360 gap will be far wider.

I'm in complete agreement. It's been overkill the amount of hype most 360 and PS3 games have gotten just because they had smoke and mirrors presentations years before they were ready to come out. Just look at God of War III. Sony just had to announce it, and for what? Just to build up hype where it'll seem like the game is taking forever to come out. I would not be surprised if GOW III is the big Fall 2010 title. Nintendo has been very good with announcements to releases. Mario Kart took less than a year from announcement to release. Almost the entire fall lineup from Nintendo is still secret. Not even a name drop for some games.

 

WKC, Heavy Rain, and Afrika still have a high likelihood of coming out this year, so I'm not sure why you listed them.

Seeing as how alot of those were supposed to be 08s games....yeah I guess so. For every title 08 loses, 09 gains one. But that doesn't seem like something to brag too much about.

 The Last Remnant will give the PS3 a pretty good boost.  I know it's also coming for the 360, but I doubt it will sell well on the 360 due to 1) It's a JRPG instead of a WRPG and 2) The fact that SE is associated with Sony more than MS will get more RPG gamers getting the PS3 version instead of the 360 version.  Also Japan (applies to 1).

It's not Gears of War 3, it's God of War 3
