ToV is the only Tales of game I ever liked but it is a slow burn. It becomes really good when you get some certain party members and just takes off from there. If not feeling it tho that's fine. YLAD also a slow burn. Then again all Yakuza games are. Just once it gets going it really gets going.

YLAD is a great game. Among the best I have played.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

YLAD is the perfect JRPG for those new to the genre and Yakuza. If they been turned off by teenagers/anime/high school/saving the world. It's the antithesis of all that.

So, Control:Ultimate Edition has a file size that is 42% smaller than that of the XBSX and Xbox One. I didn't even know about this Kraken Compression tech that the PS5 has, ( and maybe some other things because I didn't watch the Cerny unveiling ) but this is really sweet, and something that will hopefully be taken advantage of often always.

This would be major for certain large file size games. Like say, the collection of updated Hitman games where 1 2 and 3 are all playable in one group, or just monsters like RDR2.

They use that compression tech (Oodle textures) in Days Gone as well. Helps keep file size down and improve load times.

Also God of War 4K / 60FPS patch up now on PS5. Looks and plays marvelously, even on my 1440P monitor. Yay for supersampling :o

I mean just look at this (not my screenshot)

What happened to this forum? Where's the PS crowds?

Anyway,

Sony expects $10B in profits for FY2020 when it ends on March 31 (up 86% from FY2019). This is a record for Sony and is higher than the yearly profits of companies such as Walt Disney and Coca Cola.

Sony shared plans to further strengthen its 4 entertainment pillars (games, music, movies and anime) and announced that they've formed a capital alliance with Kadokawa Corporation – the owner of Spike Chunsoft and FromSoftware. Translation: Blooborne 2 is happening :D

Crazy turnaround. Stock is now almost 12 times higher than it was in 2012.

That's good. Long gone is the dark PS3 era with Sony selling off assets to stay afloat. Now they have some cash flow going through they can invest more into in games, movies and electronics. I remember they used to be absolute giants in the electronic world a couple decades ago and Sony was the sort after and premium brand (and they still kinda are).

Also, they should try buy some of Konami's IP while they're at it i.e. Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill and Castlevania *ahem*

Yeah. I'd rather him continue his cancelled project on Silent Hills first though!

This reminds me of the days when Kaz Hirai was named president and CEO of Sony as a whole back in 2012 when almost every division was bleeding money. He initiated his "One Sony, three pillars" strategy which was the start of turning things around. He was the man for the job.
