I saw this movie on Friday...unfortunately it ended up being the very epitome of what I don't like in movies, singing and graphic violence. Needless to say I was not a happy camper lol.

I loved it tbh, fun to see Cohen Baron in these small parts, he is quite the actor.
Pleasantly surprised by Burton here, his projects have gotten stale since Nightmare Before Christmas imo.
I also loved the script, Depp actually has a very good singing voice!

Oh yeah, I really liked all the songs. Too bad I couldn't quite understand half of the lyrics, and the Finnish subtitles weren't written anywhere near as well. ;__;

I thought it was pretty good. I have a thing for darker movies anyways. I think you mean Baron Cohen mummelman, unless thats an inside joke you have going on.

Very true. As a general rule musicals are bad. If I want to listen to music then I'll fire up some MP3s, not a movie. Except POD.

This is the only exception to my "I hate musicals" rule. Everything about it was amazing. Great pacing, perfect ending, terrific cast, extremely well written and witty dialogue/lyrics. One of my favorite movies of last year and probably ever.

It was one of those movies you have to watch in the dark.

Fantastic, absolutely fantastic.

So stylized, and with such good pacing.

No, but really, it kicks ass.
