I like Gamba Osaka better.

I usually pick the Hokkaido team.

I like the Osaka teams, same with the Hanshin Tigers (they don't play in the city but they are the most popular team there).

Does anyone here watch Serie A? I've wanted to start watching it. Is it a good league to follow for someone who watches Bundesliga, MLS, and Premier?

It's a league dominated by one team as much as Bundesliga (Juventus). At one point it was the best league in the world, but it is 4th now. I don't think there's much harm in watching it.

Why do they view as such? It's the sport most accessible for those not rich hence the saying it's a gentlemen's game played by mugs and vice versa for Rugby.

It's because (prior to recent wave of Latin American immigration) mainly played by suburban white kids with rich parents. It's hard to get past that for the general population because it's a $1000+ fee to play the sport competitively. Compared to basketball and American football which school competitions are taken very seriously, you have to have money to get good competitive playing time.

In what part of the US?
I played on a youth league for a few years and my parents just had to pay for my equipment and a small fee about $50-100. We certainly weren't rich, and given the demographics of my county, I doubt most of my opponents were either. I will say that soccer was seen a child's sport where I lived; one to be dropped once you reach middle or high school.

France 3-2 Uruguay
Brazil 1-2 Belgium
Russia 0-0 Croatia (Russia on Penalties)
England 2-1 Sweden

I hope this will come true, except for Russia winning over Croatia. Belgium are my favorite team right now, they play expansive and gorgeous football and have an insane all-star team with immense quality in all positions, their bench is better than 95% of the starting lineup for most national sides. However, they tend to fold in later stages, for some reason, they even managed to lose 3-1 against Wales (!) in the Euros last time around, which shouldn't be possible from any angle or view, but it happened. Brazil are endlessly better than Wales at any one point in history. Brazil's main weakness will be physique in the opponents penalty area on corners, but they have agile, technical wizards who can outmaneuver most CB's easily enough, and Coutinho, Paulinho and more can pop off great long shots from outside the box as well. Brazil will be tough to beat, but if Belgium can muster what they showed in the final 20 minutes against Japan; they can beat anyone in the world right now, that was pure offensive perfection!

Still hoping for them though, I'd love a brand new winner of the WC!

God damn it Japan, god damn it Colombia, you guys screwed up. Now we have to endure this boring ass European-only World Cup, great... oh well, let's go Uruguay!

Sweden 0-2 England

I swear this happens every time Europe hosts the World Cup. We end up with a non-diverse quarterfinals.

1998: 6 European, 2 South American
2006: 6 European, 2 South American
2018: 6 European, 2 South American

And the last 3 times they didn't host it

2002: 4 European. 1 African, 1 Asian, 1 North American, 1 South American
2010: 4 South American, 3 European, 1 African
2014: 4 European, 3 South American, 1 North American

As an England fan I wanted Colombia to win just so people would shut up about it here, kinda hoping Sweden do the job instead.

Hmm, pie.

Arenn't you the one who said you'd give up your crotch to see England win the World Cup?
