The release date must have been wrong on the site then.

Ps4 beating xbox to top spot with nino kuni on sot release week. Colour me pleasantly surprised. Sony have racked up a serious amount of #1's so far this year. Anybody know the tally?

Anywoo, Kirby got these amazing legs ! It sold around 85K on it's 2nd week in Japan, so it's probably around 130K worldwide !

Still, if the game doesn't align with Nintendo numbers in the next 3 weeks (which is 1,2M approx. sold through/1M of them are probably physical copies) then it would mean that VGC is lowballing it.

1.2m sold through? Their site says 1.26m sales, and that's to retailers, not consumers. Where did you see them say 1.2m sold through?

Xbox One's software sales for a console in it's peak years, 5 years in is really atrocious. Selling less than a handheld with 17 million unit sales even on an exclusive release week. In what metric is this console even a success relative to the current market?

I mean, the xbox one ecosystem isnt really healthy. Between all the people that bought multiple consoles moving to slim and X, all the ones that moved to PS4/PC mid gen because microsoft dropped the ball, the low number of total hardware sold and the really weak weekly numbers, its easy to see the active install base of the xbox one isn't big.  On the other hand, Switch is also beasting in term of software sales.

I feel like Microsoft are going to keep their money and let the Xbox one die until the next gen. They could have launched a new system entirely this year instead or next year but the Xbox one X will pretty much guarantee most hardcore xbox fans to stay on the previous system for some years. So to me the X was a big mistake and they should have just released a new system early/mid 2019.

I'm very surprised Niche JRPG surpassed SOT at first week .

I want to promote this news . lol

I'm surprised people think 200k FW sales is decent or good for Sea of Thieves. It's not exactly a small title, it's one of Microsoft's big games for the year.

Even Quantum Break sold 207k FW and only went on to sell 0.75m to date, 200k is not a decent open, especially considering the negativity post-release that may suppress further sales.

Sad for Ni No Kuni, though the game is relatively at a low budget.

So can you explain me why people were hamming into our head this game as the next big JRPG ?

As I remember, the first game had a relatively high budget for Japan standard. Why would it suddenly be lower than it's predecessor ?

Well the first game was wonderful, and definitely had lots of potential to grow.

I don't know why the 2nd had a lower budget, it's just something that i'm assuming and that is very apparent by the quality and polish of the game.
