i was like 8 years old when i used to play that lol. i wasnt really looking for those things.

its only now im thinking back on it.

I loved the first one because it was a new experience..2 and 3 are also good games but doesn't do much more than 1 already did;

and call Halo the best FPS ever now,
cause you must have missed GoldeEye.. :P

I was 14 years when halo was relased and i play goldeneye to, it was one of the best of course, but the graphics, and the controls and the way the campaing works, i prefer halo.

the question is,
how do you weigh technical improvements in a score?

games like Street Fighter II, Super Mario Kart and Chrono Trigger still are some of the best eventhough many other titles and sequels have better grafix, more options, online play etc.

but even all those things don't make it better games..

if you look at the industry when GoldenEye released,
GoldenEye was way more groundbreaking and standing out than any other console FPS has achieved..

Halo was the best out of he three imo, however I don't find aynthing good about about them that hand't been done before and they weren't as fun or epic as Serious Sam, that s*** is serious.

Combat Evolved for single player and the third for multiplayer.

I haven't played Halo 3 as comprehensively as the first two - I own an Xbox but not a 360. With respect to the campaign, 2 and 3 seem more linear IMO. In Combat Evolved, the second level; the beach invasion; and the snow level were all very open in comparison. I think the emphasis shifted to multiplayer in the sequels and the campaign suffered as a result.
