Ok if the wii is this powerhouse of a console, then how do explain why Mario kart wii doesnt look as good as mario kart on the Gamecube?

It was one screen, then for some reason it changed itself to a cutscene one, then I changed to a different gameplay.

Strange if you ask me... :P

 I know the game looks good, i even played that level.  I just thought the pic looked to clean, in comparison to the ratchet ones posted.  I also saw Brawl being played at Future shop at 480p and i was very impressed with the way the game looked, the screeshots in this thread for Brawl do not even come close to what i saw.

And it wasn't a cutscene.  Just a strange camera angle.  Throw a groovitron grenade and exactly what was in that screen happens. :P

If someone ever invented a screen capture device that could really capture TV quality screens I would worship them.  It bothers me how much aliasing and bluriness is added to screens.  Then again, because of that I'm always pleasantly surprised when I actually pop the game in to find out how gorgeous it looks on my 42" Plasma.

Is it any wonder some of us want to see a game made for the HD consoles ported to the Wii? Aside from Wii owners getting to try such a game, if a real effort is tried, we can see the results, and well see the results.

RE4 is about as good a comparison between the PS2 and GC as you can get (roughly same texture resolution, but better colors and polygons on the GC), so one to truly compare the Wii to the HD consoles would be the best way to settle this.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Better texture quality

Dynamic Lights

More polygons

Shadders (TEV unit in the GC)

Stable framerate

Res: 480 GC vs 240 PS2

 

It would be nice to see the limits of the Wii

Because not every game is a shining example of the best graphics on a system? Maybe it is the adition of 4 extra racers and more time spent trying to flesh out the new features rather than adding sparklies?

If the PS3 is such a powerhose how do you explain all the framerate issues with the Madden series? That is how absurd your question is. You really should be careful when trolling in a thread where a mod has warned you not to troll.
