Well. China's leanings can be difficult to quantify as they tend to be more focused on issues in their immediate vicinity. Aka. They want stability for growth.
Which is why they have typically done a good job toeing the line between North Korean interests and the United States.

But they are projecting a significant amount of power and resources into Africa and Asia though.

Well. China is set to overtake the USA if it's current growth projections continue it's current pace, no Empire sits on top forever, but it will be a stupidly long time before China will be able to dominate the combined developed world.
The counter balance to China could of course be India, which has a population that can rival China's... But also has the benefit of having a population that is younger and a more equal male/female ratio.

It will be interesting to see how the coming decades unfold, I will of course be watching. :)

If US attacks Syria and Russia uses their s200 / s300 / s400 systems to protect Assad, they will give a live demostration on how well they work. One Military industrial complex aiding another to sell more weapons.

Erdogan is playing with fire and will burn his hands one way or the other. He can never angry both sides at once and i don't think he's just smart enough to get that .

The problem is everyone is not ready for war, but war is always ready for you. The question is how you deal with war, how you react , how is your preparation.

Yup, and also US and Russia specialize in different doctrine . US is more offensive in Naval war while Russia is more about Missiles defense. If both of them demonstrate on war, and  one of them  loose , it will still benefit both,  because there is always a country that need and require a special type of weapon for their goal. In the end both win. 

If there's one thing I've learned from the Internet, it's that every military development is "World War 3". According to the Internet, we have been in World War 3 ever since I first got online back in 1999. By now, the Earth should be a steaming pile of rubble and the human population reduced to 10 million worldwide or so.

Sorry if this seems like a callous reply, but I'm tired of this kind of exaggerated drama that here really only exists to justify the recent chemical attack by the Assad regime, let's face it.
