Hydlide for the NES.  I can't believe I used to own that piece of junk!!!!!

Go try it out at www.nesplay.com

I dare you!

i still own hydlide. it sucked but was alright for a nes game. its main flaw was that it took an hour of killing the weakest enemies in the game over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over to increase your stats enough to stand a chance against anything else.

in the end i brought out the game genie so that i could experience more than just the first section of land. the game was bloody hard.  but hardness is a requirement in a game that can be beaten in 25 min providing you don't die.

I actually paid for Hydlide within the last few years. After trying it out on an emulator I just had to have the real thing. Not to play, but ya know... to have.

Hydlide sucked? I remember looking at it and wanting it, but choosing some stupid caveman Ikari Warriors wannabe game instead.

I think the worst game I ever played (and couldn't even figure out how to progress) was one of the SaGa failures (can't remember the title, but I think it was the last one made).

The only game I ever bought and immediately returned was True Crime: Streets of LA.

All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be.

Chrome. Such a big disappointment.

rad gravity on the nes, it looked so promising at the time but i got stuck numerous times and couldn't figure out what to do and there was no obvious answers, in the end i just gave up.

nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)

Euro 96 on the Saturn. An absolute disaster of a game. I remember that an official magazine of the time gave it a really good review. I was so angry that I had spent my money it, it is a real low point in video game history.

So far nobody's mentioned a game half as bad as Hydlide. I'm not bragging that my game is the worst or anything. I'm basically crying while I type this.

Night Trap!

I had Astyanax, Deadly Towers, Mag Max (not Mad Max), and Nes Wrestlemania. All of these games are wretched.

I believe I've owned even WORSE games, but my therapist said I should block them out, or risk punching a baby.
