@Twesterm

Did you read OP

"I'm not talking graphics, but more concept, story type thing. Your idea can be lame, ridiculous, stupid, or even great; just so long as it is fresh and new.

Honestly I skimmed it, though I still stand by my edit I made while you typed that post.

It's something that probably hasn't been made before but it's still a completely unoriginal basic sandbox coped game.

Fair enough, though I would say that it would be very difficult to come up with a game in today's market (which is preceeded by hundreds of games) with something that was not inspired in some way by some other game.

The sandbox formula has been done before, but that does not mean that a game can't take that mold and make it fresh and new. A game where you are the poacher has never been done before to my knowlege, and in my opinion that aspect of it makes it fresh.

True that you can take something like a sandbox game and still try to make it fresh but what you're suggesting is something along the lines of a GTA clone (or whatever sandbox game you want to pick) with a boring hook.  I'm sure you think your idea is edgy and clever but I'm sure the people that made BMX XXX thought the same thing.

And there are still plenty of original games being made today.

I know this sounds stupid but I´d like a game were the story is backwards... you start at the and and have to trace your stepps back to the start... its been done in movies but I don´t know a videogame...

That sounds like a quirky and creative twist.  This has been done in movies???  Which?

Christopher Nolan's "Memento" Edit: Also done in an episode of Seinfeld Definitely would be a refreshing take on storytelling and I'd love to see how the gameplay would be handled.

Plunger (wiiware title)
you are a plumber, and you have to beat timetrials to unclog toilets, makes perfect use of wiimotes IR camera/motions to get a real feel for plunging

That's a good idea.. they could make it a Mario game. After all, I can't think of another plumber more famous...

An escape game. Every game seems like your goal is to get somewhere or do something. I want a game where the only goal is to get away. It could be a nice twist on the stealth and horror genre.

Also cool would be a game were you get shrunk and travel trough the human body... another steal from movies I know ... but it would look cool and you could learn something... fight them white blood cells... epic sperm battle... a huge tumor as the endboss...

You should introduce yourself to the Clock Tower series (first was on PSone, not sure about the 2nd and the 3rd was on PS2 and maybe Xbox). The purpose is to get away from a killer who stalks you everywhere you go. The first one was fun and frightening.

Yes, been done in movies and a couple games (Okami and I think Breath of Fire 2) but that's a great idea. Never been a game to thoroughly explore that concept and I'd love to see it.

one where you fight Nazis in WWII. oh wait, you said fresh. I thought you said one thats been done way too many times, people are bored of it, and the makers of Call of Duty 5 are stupid enough to do again!!!!!!!

...had to get that off my chest.

On Topic: One where your a mob guy, and if some guy doesn't bring you the money in time, you have to break his thumb. You can also whack guys, kill who you want, etc.
