Anyways, CaptainPreferences, to me it sounds like you're being shamed for who are. People do that to other people to put themselves in a one-up position above you. If you can learn to set boundaries on what you take in and what you let go away it will help. But it won't be easy. Right now you're letting other people define what you are with your resentment and confusion. It doesn't matter what other people say you are if you can let it go. If you take it in and try to fight it the racial put-downs will damage you and cause pain, shame and resentment. I wish you the best in working it out.

I know your situation too well I'm have also been called "whitey" by many people. That is just because that people expect me to talk, act and dress a certain way and that is just ignorant. Most of my time I spend with "white" and that is why. But here it is not white or black, more like foreigner and local. Sometimes I have noticed that I act different when I am with foreginer and local. you just cant use the same jokes and discussions.
