I'm talking year to date  2017 vs 2018 npd. switch despite having the full year in 2018, with full supply is behind last years numbers.

And 2017 had a 906k+ March and a 280k+ april because of launch. It's not a normal comparison.

Thing is January-April should more then make up for those launch numbers. isn't switch being compared to ps4? and ps4  regularly outsells those numbers for the past 3 years since it  hit 299$ by a good margin. then switch also got a extra week in 2018 in jan, giving a nice 50k boost.

Except last year we kept being told sales would be higher if there was more supply and switch was the new Wii.  Now there is more supply and sales are down.  

Beating those sales shouldn't be a problem for a console thats supposed to hit 20 million, ps4 has sold over that numbers for the past 3 years, switch even got a extra week.

PS4 shoud easily win June.

Exactly! I can't understand his obsession with Switch failing. 

I have no obsession with switch failing, it can't fail  at this point. worst case it will sale 60 million LTD, and makes nintendo big money from software. I'm just predicting the future sales which i'm very confident in, i always said thats switch would be down in NA, and europe in 2018, and so far this year it's true based on NPD, when most people thought it would blow away last year numbers out of the water along with ps4. nothing against switch, i just don't think  nintendo first party alone can carry switch to the numbers people think it can. 

I'm gonna say Switch can win June. Lots of releases, but most importantly, Fortnite.
