I tried clicking the x on upper right it didn't close properly i get scared when i do that I'm not using a headset though but you can use VRCHAT with a keyboard and not headset it's fun . I'll try to buy occulus rift in future since i asked someone on mixer what headset they ere using they said occules rift and showed the hardware

open the in-game menu and go to 'system'

then there should be a button to close VRchat
