Forums - Nintendo - ign uk reviews MarioKart.

on the bright side

the action, the ciruits, the online play and system I've seen in some movies are real promising though
so I can't wait to play this game anyway

@Ajax

Well, he says 4 player offline is a blast (VS, not battle) and 2 player online sounds awesome.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

Ajax said:

far more important than some framerate drops
is that the battle tracks are only designed for 12 player online battles
the most hours I've played MK in my life, is probably with friends at home

he calls it a 'blend, boring experience'

but I must play it myself first to see how it really is

 it isn't.

it is also fun with 4 players, played it the whole day with my friends today

don't listen to them =)

I'm not sure if people realize it, but this review is from IGN UK.

Yeah....I stated at the top it's from IGN UK....I dunno what that has to do with anything. Are you expecting the US version to be better?

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

IGN and IGN UK usually don't differ much in their review scores

''Hadouken!''

Nice score, I never realized how nice the graphics were, I would always watch crappy trailers that looked horrible.

I'm really confused by this line in the beginning: "Okay, so we're all on the same page, let's get this out of the way: Mario Kart SNES > Mario Kart DS > Mario Kart GBA > Mario Kart Double Dash > Mario Kart 64."

Isn't Mario Kart GBA basically MK SNES with extra tracks? Why is it worse, then?

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Hmm, sweet. :) I'll get this game sometime soon.
