Forums - Gaming - Which console is worst...

I'll have to agree with the guy that mentioned the Studio 2. It was awful even for its time.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

I actually knew people with Game Gears and Virtual Boys. That puts them in a league separate from every other single system mentioned in this thread.

Ooh, ooh, I am one of those people!

I am teh hardcorez!!!

The Gamecube. It just didn't do anything for me, the controls were horrible, and the whole system felt so cheaply made like N64.

Edit: Also, the original XBox. Same thing as the Gamecube, only it didn't feel as cheaply made. The game library was just as bad as the Gamecube's. I remember I bought it and got Halo 1 &2 and waking up one morning asking, "This is it?"

...What?!

I would understand not liking the Gamecube (It was my least favorite Nintendo home console, not saying I dislike it though), but it's the worst?! D:

Perhaps it's just the worst one he's ever owned.

Well, I've owned nearly every home console out there at one point in time or another, thanks to my penchant to frequent yard sales and buy up any old gaming junk I find. When I was 15 or so, I found a Studio 2 at one point with one game; some sports game or something. I hooked it up just to test it out, and turned it off after two minutes. A few days later, it went up on eBay.

Ugh, never before have my eyes or ears been so hurt by playing a single game.

gizmondo was indeed the worst ever hand held and console. there was a special gizmondo store in regent street london which had like 12 demo stations, none of which were in use. a few months later, the store had gone. i used one before and it was a nightmare. it felt more like a phone than a games console. whcih brings me to n-gage and n-gage qd. what the?? a portrait screen? the british should stay away from gaming hardware.

I've not actually played most of the failed systems, but my vote would go for the Atari 5200. Everything about it suggests that it was just Atari's response to Colecovision and Intellivision, and a poor response at that. The failure rate for the controllers is monumental, the games are ultimately less impressive than the CV and IV, and the system's even bigger than a PS3 (and most of its size is taken up by nothing but air).

Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.

N-Gage. The taco lives on!

The thing I dislike about the Gamegear is eating my batteries. Seriously a good hour and it needed new ones.

I'm not sure whats the worst one, because i never even heard of some of those systems. But the TurboGrafx and the GameGear are great. I would still be playing my GameGear if the adapter worked. Its 100x more fun then my DS.

out of the ones ive played only.

game gear: shouldn't be on the list.  It was awesome. its flaw was that it ate through the batteries like crazy.

2nd worst

virtual boy: was uncomfortable to use, lack of software, lack of quality software, everything composed of black and red.   on a positive note the controller was good.

 worst

3do:  Cost more than a ps3 at launch (it costed $700 at launch and that much money in 1993 was more than it is now).  The horribleness that was interactive real-motion video games (sega cd had the same issue)
