Forums - General - Can someone answer me this age old question?

Because many people are lazy and don't care if they make someone's job harder who earns peanuts for a living.

Another pet peeve of mine is people deciding they don't want a product, taking it out of their cart, then just laying it anywhere.

Why can't people who shop at Walmart return their carts to the many corrals they have in the parking lots. You don't see this at the grocery store, you don't see this at Ikea, but for some reason Walmart shoppers just don't do it. I'm tired of trying to find a parking spot when I go there only to have all the prime spots taken by carts. And you don't dare park next to another cart because these lone carts have a 1/3 chance of turning into the new cart drop off station should a customer not be completely lazy and feel at least they should group these stray carts together. It doesn't even seem to matter the neighborhood either, upper middle class, the double click your keyless lock so it honks and everyone hears it parts of the city, people who shop there just can't find a way to return carts. Am I alone in my thoughts on this? Can anyone out there tell me why?
In my Home town there are plenty of spots at walmart also we don't use it a a grocery store moste people buy 5 or less things at walmart so we don't have that problem here.  Also are climate is the best so we don't be lazy cause you will like die in your car if you stay out in the heat.

I know how you feel. I don't understand why people can't just take the extra 20 seconds and push the cart over to a corral. It really bothers me to see a cart every 4th parking spot.

Depends on where you are.

I've been to places in the South where many shopping carts wander parking lots in search of the next poor car to dent while a consumer innocently goes about her shopping in the store.

Meanwhile, up North, I often see people putting carts into the storage areas with only the errant cart left on an otherwise tranquil shoppingcart free island.

that doesn't really happen here. most people that shop at walmart would never leave their dollar behind in the cart.

The walmarts and most grocery stores around here use locks like this that require a loonie as deposit which you get back when you return the cart. if somebody does leave their cart theres always a kid who's happy to collect your dollar.

wow thats awesome a guy can make a living pushing carts back every 10mins for $$ ...alot of lazy ppeople :) but yea I see it at sam's club alot thos big ass carts not the regular ones . Guess thats why they pay employees to go get the carts.

lol @ brawl4life, I hope you're joking.
