Forums - Website Topics - New game database submision questions

Ok, so I have a couple questions about submitting/editing games and I figured other people may also want to know what to do also so I'm making this thread.

1) what do I do if theexact date is unknown. For example, we know the game came out Feburary 1994. I used to submit 2/1/94 since I figured I could change the day if I found new information. Should I do the same and then just re-submit if I find a new date?

2) If a game was released in Europe and Japan only, which name do I submit to the database? Typically, we submit US names of games if released in multiple locations.

So far I've just not submitted information like this, but it would be nice If I could complete the GameGear section.

About the release dates: If a game was released in February 1994, I just input it as 2/1/94, as there is no way to put a more general 2/94 in. If you find the exact date later on, just re-submit it.

About titles from EU/JP: I'd say just use the European title. Most everyone here speaks English, so it will be a lot easier for everyone to understand by going with the EU title. We can always input the JP title after the fact. If it's a game that has different titles for EU and JP, but the Japanese title is in plain English, I'd still say go with the European title.

Of course I don't make the rules or anything, but I think that's the best approach. Maybe one day we'll be able to have titles for each region, like we have publishers for each.
