Forums - Microsoft - Here come the (unofficial) 360 bundles.

If this is the price for the 360 PRO pack - how much will the Arcade pack + GTA cost? 170 pounds? Getting down to a decent price.

Its really make or break time for the 360. If the sales don't take off with GTA + price cut - they never will.

The arcade pack doesn't seem to enjoy much success even though it's really cheap... If I had to guess, I'd say many people think about buying it, but later change their minds for the Premium when they do the actual purchase. The Premium is not much more expensive, while providing you with the ability of playing Xbox games and online.

Thanks to the backwards compatibility of the Premium model, I am now enjoying Ninja Gaiden Black which I downloaded from the online store. Only played it for a little while yet, but it looks like a great game!

well, you only get the "incomplete" version with the 360 aswell .. but you'll be able to complete the 360 version (although I highly doubt it's more than some side-quests) after some month of waiting for the dlcs

But don't you know get the incomplete version of the PS3 at the lowest price point too? You always loose if you get the cheapest deal. Either way, I think the consumer would rather go with the cheapest option - Arcade's HDD-less system, or the PS3's BC-less system.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Lol.

@Starcraft , time and time again you prove how much of a 360 fanboy you really are , the PS3 version isn't incomplete because it doesn't have [additional] DLC.

Funnily enough the people that buy the "complete" version with their arcades won't even be able to play it. even with the arcade being 0.5X the price of the PS3 the xbox 360 has still consistently been outsold in europe.

The price point of the consoles isn't really relevant , it didn't help the 360 outsell the PS3 before GTA IV , it most probably won't help after.

Rockstar representative:  "But I guess if you want the complete experience with the episodes, then yeah, you should buy the 360, I suppose."

As for the price point not being relevant.  Do you agree with all the Ninty Fanboys that claim the Wii would be rooting the PS3 even if they were the same price then?

@Starcraft , It's called PR and the keyword is [Guess].

The price point of the arcade is irrelevant because the consumer doesn't believe it's good value for money , this is evident in the arcades sales performance in comparison to the other SKU's.

The Wii is completley different , you get the whole nintendo experience at a killer price point , reliable hardware , good selection of casual games. The kind of people that pay for a wii @ £170 and the kind of people that pay for a 360 @ £300 are genaraly different kinds of people.

There's absoloutley no way that the Wii could have outsold either the PS3 or the 360 whilst launching with a similar price point to the PS3 , the Wii's price point is representative of it's value , increase the price point beyond the point of it's actual value and it's demand will plummet.

The Wii is very price elastic.

Lol, another ridiculous fanboy post from Starcraft. When will he ever stop... The "incomplete" PS3 version, the fanboy comes up with the most ridiculous arguments these days. The PS3 version actually is the only one with full 1080p support. Upscaled indeed, but it's there where the 360 doesn't have it. Talk about being incomplete...

The PS3 got the bundle rights Starcraft, get over it.

Lol.  You accuse a third-party developer with a historical pro-Sony attitude of PR bias?

And then you turn around and spin the old "if PS3 beats the 360 Sony wins the generation because the Wii is in a different market" line.

Nice mate, nice.

BAHAHAHA!!!!! How much would you like to make a bet?  No honestly, please make a really, REALLY long ban bet with me?

You'll actually find that the 360 generally has a more comprehensive game upscaling system than the PS3.  Many PS3 games can't support 1080i, whereas the 360 supports 720p/1080i/1080p.  So what shall we say?  Six month ban bet that the back of the GTAIV 360 packet says 1080p support?

Rockstar said that the Xbox 360 version of GTAIV had the ONLY COMPLETE VERSION of the game.  Period.
