"5% Developers still think the Switch will sell less Worldwide than Wii U."
It's surreal to think that we might have some developers lurking on this board discussing as average users.

I'm starting to wonder if they have legit interest in PC for actual gaming, or general interest in PC because of the low development costs and free beta testers. |
I don't know.
This year looks like it is going to be pretty good for the PC platform, and Vulkan.
We should have Serious Sam 4 out this year, hopefully that really show what the platform can do.
Isn't Bethesda's new game rumored to come out this year, the mod scene will love that.
We will be getting the definitive version of Monster Hunter: World. that will likely do very well on Twitch.
Book of the Dead, if it comes out will show indie devs that they can make beyond console AAA games, on a tight budget.

The there is Valve:

This sounds interesting.
Well we know Valve is going to GDC 2018, hopefully they bring a few surprises too.
Hopefully we can see more of their latest Knuckles prototype, (maybe even a release date) and we may even see another Source 2 tech demo.

We'll be seeing more games with full Vulkan support?.
I thought we had the Serious Sam VR game last year?, does this mean we're getting a brand new mainline SS game?.
Beth's game is rumoured, but I'm not sure about it releasing this year. I'm sure it's being developed with current gen base systems in mind, so I'm not expecting anything jaw dropping tbh. THe mod scene might love it, but going with what Beth has been doing with their "creation club", it'll likely be tied down to that.
MHW's PC port is around 7-8 months away and it's the team's first ever PC port. I'm not holding out much hope for what little experience and time they've got with the port job. It could end up being a stellar amazing, mind blowing port job, or it could end up worse than AK, but going by their short window and their first port job, I'm inclined to thinking it will be the latter.
Is BotD a puzzle walking sim?. If so I'm going to have to pass on it. Yes it's visuals look decent, but I'd hate to see them being wasted on yet another walking/puzzle sim.
Valve giving is a few big surprises?.

The knuckle controllers are the only things I'd be interested in seeing from them. I doubt they';; release the store revamp this year and announce new games, games that aren't another moba or card game/fan mod based.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Ps4 & xbox had 11% making their next game on their platform according to the 2014 report so I don't feel that 12% is that bad. |
Yeah, it doesn't when you put it that way. I'd just like to see plenty of 3rd party support for the Switch.

This is one of those things where i can gaurantee you its not all as it seems.
indie ga,es are third party too you know? And what do u think has a better chance of selling? 1 of 10 or 1 of 300?
My take away from this?
The thing has already sold almost as much as the wiiU in one year. Of course interests should increase.........
I still remember watching ReviewTechUSA's video about this thing last year, people were all crying "DOOM!" about the Switch because of it lol
Frankly, it still looks a little low to me, but these things can take quite a while. So long as the Switch continues to sell the games will come.

Regardless this GDC, most of 3rd parties including big 3rd parites, said they are satisfied with sales of their games on Switch and promised stronger support.
| JSG87 said: This year 12% making Switch Games 15% Saif their next game would be on Switch. [...] 28% games released on Switch have outsold their counterparts on other Platforms 23% have seen Average sales on Switch 16% said that sales were lower on Switch. The rest said they hadn't released anything on Switch. |
The above information is obviously contradictory.
12% of the developers said they are making Switch games, 15% said there next game would be on Switch. So the percentage of developers who have already released a game on Switch should be somewhere in that area, 15-20% at most.
On the other hand, only (100-28-23-16)% = 33% said the hadn't released anything on Switch yet? So (28+23+16)% = 67% already have released something on Switch? That doesn't make sense...
