Starcraft a 10 year old game. Is it worth spending time playing it if you have never played it before? Well any PC could run this game but the graphics in the game would look really outdated compared to games released in the past few years in particular.
BTW: Will Starcraft 2 due out in December 2008, take the game to a new level in regards to game play and graphics?

 Sure it's worth playing. I'm not exactly a fan of Starcraft, or Blizzard for that matter, but there's a reason people still play the game - and I don't know any other RTS that has driven a nation mad like SC (see South Korea).

 Then again, I doubt Starcraft 2 will do anything revolutionary to the game since they might alienate their professional playerbase, so you should play that at least, since StarCraft 2 won't be as likely to make your next-gen eyes bleed.

Yes, I just started getting back into it (It's probably been more than 5 years). Trying to get used to the feel again before SC2 comes out.

I play it by myself or every now and then with actual friends (not online). I don't bother with online because I'm just not that good.

I don't play as much as I used to but when my brother comes over we usually play some Terran vs Protoss games on Lost Temple.

I remember when I used to play more on Battle.net... I'd create a game like 1 vs 1 LT some people whould join and 1 minute into the game I'd get a message like : "WTF where's all the money?" Soooo funny!

Unlimited money maps remove a big part of the game's strategy.

We should organize some games between VgChartz members. I'd love to play this awesome game again on a more regular basis.

that's an awesome idea. If you go to b.net they've replaced the ladder with leagues. I don't have the technical know-how to make a league, but if someone created one, i'd totally join.

Also, have you ever seen those competitive Korean starleague matches? freakin insane. I saw one guy defeat a 10 minute zerg rush with one SCV, one Medic, and one Firebat. Its micromanagement to the extreme.

Still play it from time to time... used to play it all the time in Lan parties though... only played online once and got owned bad by this Korean guy... one of my all time favorite games... when part two comes out I won´t see sunlight for weeks...

They used to show the pros on the german gaming channel (Giga) man Goon-dancing is insane... I can´t believe the micro some of these guys can pull-off...
