I am playing RE: UC and have been somewhat successful collected the files. My question is that on the screen with the file folders there is a top section with a bunch of boxes and then a long horizontal section with boxes. so far only that bottom section has been filling with files. What is the top section for?

items, i think, when you play on hard mode you can also get those when you beat a level, but you cant use them

i was right, they just add more gameplay time to the game, cause to get all of them you have to get an S ranking in hard mode

but getting all of those items will not unlock anything
it just gives you more backgorund about the story

 I think there is a place where you can open a door using an item found on an earlier playthrough - Jill's ID card I believe. Might be wrong though.

I guess you can just the guns to blast through some doors?

 really? i have to play the game again and look at some sites for info on that, i want to break every breakable door
