Most retailers will offer their own bundle, MS won't do one because of their 3 SKU set-up, PS3 only being one SKU in Europe doesn't have that issue.

Looks like Sony wants to maximize the sales of the GT5P bundle and the blu-ray bundle while still selling GTA4. As long as the GTA bundle comes within two weeks of the release of GTA4 then it should all be good. This will allow Sony to garner more sales of the system and prolong higher sales of the PS3 until the MGS4 and its bundle hit on june12.

Edit: If you release the GTA4 bundle on May 12 i think when Haze hits it could prove to be a nice boost.

And why exactly would Sony care? GTAIV will sell millions, they care about hardware sales. Its certain they will sell a higher percentage of GTAIV in comparison to their global install base. (Will have higher attach rate than 360.)

The only people who care about that crap are fanboys. Sony gets higher attach rate, Sony currently has more momentum in every region and is still at a higher price. Hmmm...if your going to make a game starting now that will release in a year or two, why the hell would you make it 360 exclusive anymore? Thats the point of the console wars. Game quality and community. It wont sell more software of course, but the PS3 sure as hell is going to smash the 360 in hardware increase.

 It will be close in the US, but it will be a landslide victory in Europe.

I dont think having it come out even 2-3 weeks after will cause a huge boost a boost yes but no where as big as if it came out on the same day because many stores on the day the game comes out will have special buys and these are what people will see and want. If true this works out better for MS simply because for day one sales and that week and to when ever this bundle is coming out the cheapest way to play gta will be on the 360 and the specials that the stores be offering will be advertisment for ms cheaper version. Now I know it was still cheaper even with this bundle but this bundle was saving you money.

To Jandre002 what do you mean by landslide? because no offence but even when sony came out with the GT bundle couple of weeks back we still saw big increase by ms(price cut) with the sales diff between the 2 not much diff to a normal week. To say sony will have a landslide victory I dont seeing it happening at all, outselling the 360 sure outselling it by much more than it is now(around 40-50k) no I dont see it at all infact I see it being closer.

Celticwolf - this bundle will be out at games launch. the dude who said it wont is just a second hand information guy who said he heard it from a memo that he got at something and blah blah.

Basically the guy who said weeks later isnt a reliable source.

I'd be more inclined to believe the multiple websites that have the dates set at the 29th of april
